PvP is my favorite part of any MMO, but i'm still trying to decide which class I want to play and mostly PvP with, and I would love opinions.
Warrior: I always played a warrior in WoW, for about 6 years, I loved it. But always that frost mage would kite you down when you missed a snare or a slow, and when your charge was on cooldown, and ude get slowed by a ranged class and be unable to do anything but take the blows and eventually die. I don't really know if I want to be a warrior after ive looked at some videos and discussion, because with the massive battles it would be safer to sit in the pack flinging spells, instead of just running into a crowd and getting focused down as a melee. Not to mention Warriors always have the most badass armor.
Necromancer: These look strong in PvP, with the death shroud ability buffing your health, and the massive life drain and life steal/healing abilities and debuffs makes this class quite strong and looks fun. I am seriously thinking of a Necro over a warrior.
Elementalist: This looks pretty neat, being able to switch attunements for different skill sets like earth for armor and protection, air for damage/stuns, water for healing, and fire for damage. Seems quite viable and PvP and unsure if it would be better than a necro or a warrior.
What do you guys think? Opinions are welcome :)

You'll have range as a warrior, too. You'll do just fine in those scenarios.

It looks like this is what you favor the most. Although, if your only issue with the warrior is range, then you have nothing to worry about with warrior. If you want a change from being a warrior, go for Necro or Ele! You can always make more than one character
Elementalist: This looks pretty neat, being able to switch attunements for different skill sets like earth for armor and protection, air for damage/stuns, water for healing, and fire for damage. Seems quite viable and PvP and unsure if it would be better than a necro or a warrior.
Elementalists will be great in PvP, just as every other class. They have range, and they can get up close, too.

It all comes down to what you want. If you want a change, then go for elementalist or Necro. It looks like you're weighing more towards Necro, so go for that. Just note that when the games come out, after the tutorial, you'll be able to go straight to 80 in structured PvP, and you can see which class you like most. You can actually make all 3 of those, so there's no real need to choose if all you want is PvP!
If you really want to play warrior, play a warrior. Melee weapons get several skills to cover ground, and the class has access to longbows and rifles (so if hanging back in WvW is smarter in a particular situation, you can do that and still be effective).
EDIT: Ninja'd! :smile2:

Ahh it's so hard to choose! What would you guys play out of the 3 and why?
Well, I'm going to play ele come launch because that was my main in GW1 and I just like the visuals, lol. You can spec more toward survivability or support or DPS for any class, so for me it comes down to flavor. I will probably play more with support in mind. :smile2:

Hi Dreadnought, welcome to this forum! Of those 3, my first try would definitely be the Necromancer (I really like his ability to be a Minion Master while ruling from the back lines), but eventually I'm sure I will play all 3 of them.

Ty! And I'm leaning more toward necromancer, it seems in the pvp videos ranged have the upper hand since you don't have to stand still to cast very often.

Picking your profession based on the opinions of other people, prior to the game even being released....... is pretty stupid.
Wait til release, or beta access........ and choose for yourself.

Anyways,
I've never liked a warrior class in ANY game before gw2. I'm really excited to play one when the game comes out. It has great mobility with the greatsword(which I'm a huge fan of) and the ranged weapon skills are awesome. The necromancer can have an army following it around if you so desired which is really cool. One of the builds I made for a necromancer was specifically for that reason. Elementalist's can adjust to any situation. They can go into water and use a bunch of support abilities that'll heal, chill, and possibly even both. They can go into fire and crank out a bunch of damage or go into earth for some more defensive abilities. And air, well air is just awesome. Lightning whip is one of my favorite abilities (appearance wise) for an elementalist.
All 3 are great choices. There's nothing stopping you from leveling each one to 15 or 16 and then deciding in what order you want to play them. Personally, I'd go Elementalist, Necromancer, and then Warrior. But that's only because I already have all the professions in play order.

Warrior, Necro (and most of all Ranger) = easiest to play.
so pick Warrior/Necro if u think u cant handle "playing the piano" on your Elementalist.
(unless what i heard about adding a 15'' cd on switching attunements is correct, in which case, no piano skills are required)
Necro is very powerful from what we've seen in vids he's very hard to kill.
but Warrior is versatile and durable, while Elementalist is even more versatile but squishy.
