I have mixed feelings about TSW. I liked it, in the beginning a lot. I wish they'd voice the main character, because watching those monologues, as good as some of them are, gets old. Also I didn't find the combat as much fun, and I felt a bit lied to about the leveling system.
The company said there were no levels, and it's true. They don't actually give you a number. But the skill system set up as it is betrays the idea. They don't give you a number but there are levels, because you have to experience points to get skill points to spend on skills you have to buy in certain tiers. It's levels without calling it levels.
Aside from that, it's a decent game, particularly the long story quests.
I think a good palate cleanser should be a game that's radically different from GW2. There's a new God of War game coming out and that will definitely be a good palate cleanser for me.
checkers
spend a week playing checkers then when you come back to GW2 you will be like WOW THIS IS SO AMAZING :p
I use EvE Online. Its radically different, and its leveling is unique from more traditional mmo's. It's cut-throat pvp is also fun and a radical change from magic.
