Trouble , buying the game.

Hi,
So I live in Algeria (North africa) and since our country is very close to europe ,we are always playing in Europe servers in every game , except for Guild wars 2 ! and with the 3 days Trial , I noticed my latency being 200++ , while it should be 50-80 if it was in Europe.

furthermore It creats problems , cause in the website it says we have to pay with $ (USDollars) But we do not have that , our currency online is € (Euro) and it makes it impossible to buy the game.

Also I wanted to pay using my paypal account , but guess what I did not find my country there, so I decided to pay using my Credit Card (Visa Electron) and it is not in the list , and as I've seen many people couldn't buy the game using it.

I decided to look for a Retailer , I've found Gamesrocket , which is German and then I saw that my Country has its region set to North America and that if I bought a key from Gamesrocket (EU key) it wouldn't work !

I don't know now...if I kind of manage to buy the game...I will be suffering from a Huge latency which will make it unplayable

I tried to contact the Support team , but seems like you have to buy the game first...

Is there a way to fix this guys ? also will I be able to buy the game ?

I think if you use paypal, you can use different currency and paypal will convert it for you.

You should be able to contact Support even though you haven't bought the game yet they will still help you through the process of buying. Paypal should work for you even with different currency.

Also once you get in game have an NA copy won't stop you from playing on EU servers, they simply have the EU codes and the NA codes to limit piracy.

I cannot find Algeria in the list.

Odd that Algeria isn't on the list for you. I checked paypal and they extended services to Alergia in 2007 so you should be able to create an account. You can try Paypal support to find out why its not or if they ended services (I couldn't find anything saying such right off) or you can wait on Anet support to work out a way to pay for the game.

I've got a paypal account and I used it many times (and its currency is USD $ so if I could use it , it would solve the problem) and I bought many things with my paypal account
But as I showed you in the screen , in Guildwars 2 website I cannot find Algeria in the paypal countries list

That's pretty odd, I thought the pic was paypal account creation. Its possible Anet has Algeria grouped with another county or region (I pulled up Anet and looked myself but didn't see it either). Best advice I can tell you is to wait on Anet support to respond. Next best is to contact Paypal support and tell them that Anet takes paypal, but doesn't list your country and see if they have an answer for you.

Your next option would be an online retail service such as amazon.com. Buy the game from them using your paypal (assuming they don't have the same problem)

I just talked to a guy from Anet , he said that I should buy it from a retailer instead , but yet I don't know if I should buy the Europe version or the US version , am planning to buy the digital version

If you are not in EU then you buy the NA version. The EU version is only for the EU countries they have listed. The NA version will work everywhere else. At least Anet did respond to you finally. Amazon.com sells the digital version for download and I'm pretty sure they take paypal so you should be good to go there. There are other retail services too, I just recomend amazon cause I buy a lot of stuff off there and the few times I've had a problem (other than me ordering the wrong thing lol) they've gotten it fixed.
