Yeah... something tells me these ladies would die in battle REAL quick... don't get me wrong, I totally understand the idea behind the sexualization of video game characters, but considering the concept behind this game, these "armor" designs are straight up moronic. I mean, anyone who runs into battle with that little bit of covering sure as hell isn't going to last very long... just saying... nice pics, though, very nice... its just bad game design is all, even many of the female heavy armors are ridiculous, lol.

I'm pretty sure that some of that which protects cloth wearers is magic anyway. I mean cotton or silk isn't much defense against a mace or axe in the first place. And you change gems, you get more protection/skills anyway. I think we can take it read that the silk outfit you're wearing, no matter how much of it is covering you isn't proof against bears or blades.

I would agree if Toughness weren't a thing and armor on items actually mattered. Because you know, I can totally run around in nothing but flower petals if I wanted to. It's definitely ArenaNet not caring about the realism in armor. Someone half naked in cloth can be more durable than someone in full plate because of Toughness. Light/Medium/Heavy is irrelevant in this game, and magic has nothing to do with it, it's all numbers and stats, sadly.

[Steel]

Getting attacked on a part of the body that isn't covered or protected is really just as ridiculous as taking damage in numerical values until reaching zero; when instead you would be wounded on the area you were attacked, progressively getting ineffective.
Paper armor loses it's advantage over steel plated armor when wet.
Besides, I think a shock wave from an engi's grenade, bomb, or mine would realistically leave every class vastly underpowered... that is if you have the time to pull the pin before an elementalist zaps you in your lightning rod armor... or a bullet to the head and an arrow to the knee.
