I wanted to start a poll to see what profession people like the most at this point, and think they'll pick to play first when GW2 releases.

If I get into the beta, I plan to play a couple different professions, but for release I'll be playing Mesmer. With most games I prefer to play the underplayed, under-appreciated classes, but with GW2 I like the idea of the Mesmer so much I'll probably play it no matter what.

Rigth now, the Elementalist has my vote. I haven't played GW at all, so this will all be new to me. But, from the fairly intensive looking through this game, I really like this profession.

If for some reason Elementalist doesn't work out, then I really have no idea what profession I'd take. Every other one looks pretty fun, outside of the warrior (only because I've pretty much over-played that general type in MMO's).

Extremely surprising to see the Gaurdian the top pick right now and the Engineer the lowest. I was thinking it would be the exact opposite!

It's difficult to pick just one, so here are my top 5!

#1. Necromancer - I love the darkness that surrounds them. The slimy evilness of their spells will strike fear into the hearts of my enemies! Muhahaha!

#2. Warrior - Heavy awesome-looking armor and the wide variety of weapons makes this profession very appealing.

#3. Engineer - I'm really not a gun person in game, but the uniqueness of this profession interests me. Plus I love the jump shot. Wheee!

#4. Mesmer - I did not think I'd like this one, but after watching so many frickn' videos on it I think it's grown on me. (Probably something along the lines of Stockholm Syndrome) It looks complicated and very crafty if played right. I think I'll be PvP'ing with this profession a lot.
