    Freedom or health?

    Just a little hypothetical I started thinking about. If you had to choose between having your freedom and having your health (with the assumption you already have both), which would you choose?

    If you loose your freedom, you may live an unhealthly lifestyle.
    If you loose your health, you may loose the ability to live a free life.

    Which is more important?

    I'd choose to keep my health. If you're healthy you can always work towards regaining your freedom, and in theory you could even live a happy life being healthy but not free (assuming the absense of torture and stuff like that). If you're free but very sick, it's very hard to remain happy.

    I'd take my health. Freedom I'd fight for, and I gotta have my health to fight. Besides, worst case scenario I'd just suicide, and it's much easier to figure out/execute the most effective/efficient/least painful method with a clear mind and able body.

    With all my exams stacking up and a whole let of other problems cropping up I wouldn't mind my freedom back for a moment (;

    But I think I agree that health is more important, mostly because living an enjoyable life is much harder without it. Although it's difficult to compare since I've never really lost my freedom in any way.

    With health you can see if the life with no freedom is bearable, if it's not, you can always commit suicide. With freedom but no health you might not have that option.

    I'd choose to keep my health.. how can you be free when you're not healthy, therefore freedom is useless.

    I'd opt for health. You can fight for freedom or die trying, but health eventually screws you no matter what. The "or die trying" part doesn't bother me at all.

    Everything set in place is really nothing we can change, money and dishonesty are what runs our government in the USA -_-. The whole setup is to give us untermensch the impression that we have a say in the way things are run so that we'll be peaceful and complacent, in reality all our non-violent options perpetuate the system while changing nothing important. We don't really have freedom, just a really good illusion of it.

    I'm going to be the only one to say it but... Freedom. Being free is everything to me. I have explored and fought in many countries where people are not free. It's impossible to discribe but it has a very lasting effect on anyone who has seen it first hand.

    @Versoffen, can you name a country that doesn't have a government that is not ran by money?

    Neither. I want to be trapped in a box with the flu.
