Saturday, 12:01 PM (I never liked referring to noon or midnight as times, WAY too confusing). We shall have a discussion on the edge of the reflection pool by the Washington Monument. We shall bring Bologna sandwiches and water pistols in order to avoid hunger and fight over our differing opinions!

Why did this thread become to violent? Anyhow. Good thing World pvp isn't implemented. If there is one thing about Wow is lvl 80's feasting on new players, because it's fun... apparently.

Reason why GW2 will be the only MMO i'll probably sink 5000+ hours into. Cooperation! That word is severely lacking on MMO's now-a-days.

I think it's lvl 85's feasting on new players now? That game is slowly dying away anyways. It's lost over 2 million subscribers since cataclysm's launch. Anyways, that's very true. I can't wait to do dynamic events with my guild/or a bunch of random people I met at the area.

Yeah man. I'm dying for a co-op game of this line! Sadly I have to wait till Anet launches this beauty. I guess I'm going full on nerd on my college studies, since I don't expect this game to come out till summer. (Guessing Late may-Mid June max.)

Hi guys, new to the forum.

IMO, world pvp without consequence is just a form a griefing and is pointless. I personally want open pvp, only if implemented correctly.
I played UO many years and I dont understand why other games haven't adopted their criminal/PK system.

Hi Hemlawk, welcome to these forums. So what do you think of the World vs World vs World (server vs server) system that GW2 offers... which is the closest you'll get to open world pvp in GW2, without the possibility to disturb people who just want to pve and don't care about pvp at all ?

Hi Centaur and thanks for the welcome.

I have not researched WvWvW enough yet but it sounds cool. As for the pve without open pvp, that's fine and if anything it will encourage some friends to play GW2. I've seen too many times in the past how open pvp can cause players to rage quit(aoc).
Personally, I like all aspects of mmo's relatively speaking. I enjoy pve when it's challenging and the reward is high. Such as in UO. I was able to solo the hardest creature in the game because of my quick thinking. (shadow Wyrms, via 2001). I also died a lot in that dungeon. Pvp'ers never bothered me because it was almost guranteed death. Ha! But I actually consider mysel more of a Pvp'er.

Also, I HATE raiding for gear. I'm playin SWtoR right now and it's gotten to the point that I want to quit. Without gear I suck at pvp. Stupid!

But yes, gw2 seems to be the answer to my mmo woohs. Well atleast until UO2 or Achrons Call makes a modern sequel.

Yeah, if ArenaNet play their cards right, they should have an mmo that will improve upon many of the flaws and problems in the current generation of mmo's, and it should appeal to a wide variety of players, regardless of whether they prefer pve or pvp or a mixture of both. Unfortunately we'll still have to wait a couple more months to be sure...
