    cant connect to guildwars2 forum

sometimes i cant connect to to this site recently....its like it doesnt exist but a search for it comes up positive and i can go through text only and get here.

is there some kind of error or something blocking the site from me or is this an error that someone knows about ?

I don't have any problems connecting to the site... it may be a routing issue somewhere in the line between your own computer and the gw2forums server. We're definitely not trying to block you or anything like that!

If you could take a screenshot of the problem the next time it happens, it might help

One thing you might want to try (can't hurt): Change your primary dns to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4. These are Google's DNS servers and I've found they work pretty well. I've also had trouble connecting to some sites (not this one) since my ISP's DNS had very inconsistent results.

If that doesn't work you can keep on using those or you can switch back to your ISP's DNS by selecting auto config. To change (Windows 7): Start --> Control Panel --> view network status and tasks --> Local Area Connection --> Properties --> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) (select it) --> Properties --> Check "use the following dns server addresses" & enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Windows xp has the same method but it's found somewhere else in the control panel, can't remember where.

Its intermittent. i tried to get on in IE and it said "windows cannot detect this servers proxy settings". so i went to firefox and changed my "connect to internet settings to auto detect proxy settings.....and it works again. i have no idea when or if it will happen again. i haven't changed anything on this comp. it just all of a sudden started happening

I've actually been having issues checking from work. It's not all the time (obviously, I'm on it from work now) but I get a similar error at times.

I followed your suggestion and it seems to work fine now. i also uninstalled comodo firewall , whiich might have been(possibly) causing the error anyway.
