can we not heal our minions?

i made a necro and had so much hope and dreams - but after an hour im like wow i hate this...

but today i decided to try again - made me an asuran necro

i wanna be a MM, just wondering, is there anyway to heal my minions? dont see any ability or skill that lets me

for u fellow MMs out there, what weapon do u like? im using staff - but kinda sucks beacuse i just lay marks down on the ground and hope enemies step on em to bleed for a few seconds

otherwise doing okay so far, but think it could be better.

    thanks

there is healing well, then staff has mark of blood that heals allies that are in its area when it pops, then traits can give you mark of blood on dodge , death shrouds life transfer heals allies near and leaving death shroud heals.

There's no point to healing minions in this game. They're expendable and you make another. Unlike Guild Wars 1, you don't need a body to make them and they don't have built in degeneration, so there's no need to heal them. You're much better off detonating them before they die and then making another one. It's a different thought process.

That said, I found minions to be vastly underpowered. The only way I found I could enjoy the necro was to go with a condition spamming build, also using death shroud frequently in the mix.

The minions are worthless junk, even with the trait that buffs their health +50%. The flesh golem has a tendency to stand around like a moron while you are getting pummeled half of the time, and he will attack things way off which have nothing to do with your current battle. Using Well of Suffering, Well of Darkness and Well of Blood with the 20% cooldown trait for wells is the only way I've been able to tolerate my Necromancer, and I don't bother with minions anymore. They do more harm than good.

Sadly the necromancer minions are terrible, I would actually say the GW2 necromancer has the worst, most useless minions I have ever come across.

First character I created and least played.

Any character class in GW2 which 'farms out' a part of there power to either minions (Necro), turrets (Engineer) and pets (Ranger) is weaker as a result than any of the character classes that just rely on themselves.

Necromancer was the one class I wasn't ever going to play. Riiiight. My necro never uses minions. Such worthless clutter. I went with a condition-based necro and I use DD/SF but I carry a staff with me for farming and groups. My condition build does a LOT of damage and I have fun with it.

I don't mind playing as necromancer, however they can be tiresome. Keep trying it and it may get better once you get used to it.
