Ideal Character Creation System (#1 priority: Bring back the Ele pigtails!) :B

Alright. Character creation is a super fun aspect of games for me. So, I started thinking about what I'd ideally like to see for GW2. I will probably edit/add to this as I think of it or other people make suggestions.
    • 1. Return of the elementalist pigtails. Pretty self explanatory. Gimme.
    • 2. Don't restrict hair/faces by profession, like the original game does. This always frustrated me. Let me have that Necro hairstyle on my Warrior if I want. More choices = better, so give us many many presets and hairstyles please.
    • 3. Body sliders. It would be super awesome to see a system like Age of Conan has. Let me make a total chunker or a skinny flatchested chick like the Assassin bodies are in the original. At the VERY least, give me a three body "presets:" Scrawny, average and chunky.
    • 4. Face sliders. As above. Aion is a better example for this one -- you couldn't tweak AoC faces much without them starting to look grotesque.
    • 5. Tattoos and "features." Give me a selection of tattoos I can apply to body and face (could be body paint type thing for Charr, for example). "Features" include say facial and body piercings/freckles/makeup/scars. Let me use more than one at once. I should realistically be able to have a freckled chick with makeup on, or what have you.
    • 6. Better colour selection/more colours. Let me create custom colours. I should not see tons of other people with my character's exact hair colour, for instance. Let me tweak skintones as well.
    • 7. Let me change eye colour independent of face. That was another pet peeve from the original game.
    • 8. Customize length/hair sections. A la APB's character creation. (Izzy)

Alright, I know there were more things I'd thought of earlier but alas I've forgotten now that I actually have time to put this together.

So. Anybody else want to add to this?

I totally agree with everything there! Especially the second point. It would also be super kewl to have 3 points of hair selection, i.e. the back (ponytail, pigtails, super long, etc.), the front (fringe, bangs, blah blah blah), and then the middle (don't really know how this part would work).

Yea, customization has always been the big fault with Guild Wars. It's something they never seemed to really address in later expansions either. They added more hairstyles, and skin colors but that was about it.

With the addition of new races, I think we'll see customization expanded. MMO's have evolved since Prophecies released, so I imagine allowing for deeper customizing is a priority.

I disagree. Only body/face sliders if those features can get beat out of shape and you have to go get them fixed at a surgeon.

I want hair to grow over time too. If I don't play for 6 months I want the world to know.

I assume you're being tongue-in-cheek. But AoC does allow you to give your character a crooked nose as though it's been broken, a black eye, etc. I see no reason why all GW2 characters have to be super pretty.

    Also, added Izzy's suggestion

There is one thing that bugs me in EVERY MMO that isnt there... Tattoos. I think AoC has them but very little other have them in abundance, which, in warrior classes is a must.
