    Guild Wars 2 LFG Tool

    Guild Wars 2 LFG Tool

Tired of spamming chat or wasting money warping to a dungeon area to hope to find a group? Since there is no LFG tool atm, I decided in my boredom at work to quirky wip one up this morning and put it on my EC2 instance.

If you get a landing page give it a bit for the DNS change to propagate
Simple to use, log in to FB, put in your class, level, server, and what your looking to do and hit start it will list people who are also looking for that dungeon “or any dungeon”.

    DISCLAIMER:
It is probably buggy and I havent put any time into styling it for the desktop or mobile platform (but it should work for both right now in its ugly state). If everyone hates it I will stop working on it and will have only lose the few bucks for domain registration, if it becomes popular I will put a lot more time into polishing it and adding new features (plus mobile apps). Will this probably flop? Yea… but you never know.
Hope to get some positive and/or constructive criticism.

There is a Looking For Group tool. It's in your contacts, and shows everyone in the zone looking for group via that function. But no one knows about it, so it's kind of a wasteland most times.

Yeah, I find it pretty hilarious/disgusting that an MMO finally releases with a LFG tool instead of making you wait for one, and no one even pays attention to it.

i dont know what in game "tool" your talking about. ive used LFG a few times and never see it do anything other than change my status to lfg. are other ppl supposed to show up on that page? ive never seen one......and its basically worthless unless u can see ppl in other zones and overflows lfg.....complete waste of time if u still have to stand there in the same zone hoping ur on the same overflow with some others that are looking for more. i personally miss the very simple way of LFG in EverQuest. you tag yourself /lfg and then anybody anywhere can find you by /who all lfg

tl;dr in game LFG tool is completely worthless; needs ability to view all lvls in all zones and overflows....

    Man,

I did a tool to find groups, guilds, farm, etc..
    The tool is free: http://findagroup.tk

Invite your friends and guilds, make it with more users =)

    Enjoy!

Does no one know about this? It's amazing and even has an Android app (and an IOS one in development).

Never taken me more than 30 seconds to find a group for anything using this site. I just find the most recent posting for the dungeon I want to run and /join on whoever created it. Works like a charm.

Just sort by Level if you're looking for a fractal.

They need a better LFG tool just for Fractals alone...

But I do have to admit, I like SWTOR's LFG tool...you pick which dungeons, dailies, etc you wanna do from a checklist (you can click on multiple dungeons if you want) and then you get put in a queue. When the fastest group gets filled, you get notified and it automatically warps you to where you need to be and when your done it warps you back to where you were. Pretty convenient and you can do some PvE while you wait...

I kinda feel the swtor model is too inpersonal. I take pride in putting together a decent group and when I finally find people who really jive with my pals and I, I friend them for future endeavors. This is the model that helped me find the guys and girls I play with almost 10 years later.

Yes, just yes. It's a great and easy tool to use and it's even stickied in the official forum. Very useful for finding fractal groups.

I only found about that site yesterday, Tien. But then I am never looking for a group, silly RPer that I am.
