Guild Introduction
GetStomped is a guild that is 80% focused towards PvP, that includes both Arena and World type PvP's. As a guild, we work together to achieve what only others dream of. We are very organised, and yes we do have a website (above) along with a TS3 server. Not are we only a PvP guild but we do enjoy the odd bit of PvE as a group now and then, we take PvE as an opportunity to bond as a guild and play in a relaxed and calm environment. Like I said, we are organised, and group events happen very often as we have seen already on Guild Wars 2.
How we work
We are based on teams of 5. If you are accepted into the guild, you are able to apply for a team or make one yourself, obviously you need to have good leader qualities in order to create one, we don’t want in-experienced players leading veterans. All the teams participate in the Team Ladder which is sorted by average rating of the players in the team, these players usually have the same rating because they are always playing together. We intend on getting involved with a lot of e-sports, so those teams that are good enough will represent Get Stomped at those events. If you are a skilled PvPer then you will play alongside other skilled PvPers, and together you will achieve a lot.
Talk more PvP
Not only will we be focusing on arena type PvP, but WvW is also a very keen interest of ours, I have prior experience of leading a legion on Aion where PvP was open world, when it came to sieges (aka keeps), my legion was all over that. Teams will be formed together to form squadrons, these squads will be led by an officer. These squads will consist of around 20 players and we expect to have around 150 members, so you are looking at a lot of squads. With these squads, we will be able to hold any keep and take any enemy keep. We will be making sure that the teams have their fun with each other, arranging friendlies between them and holding competitions within the guild for cash prizes and of course, bragging rights!
You've said a lot about groups, more?
Not only is having a team a great responsibility, but it is also a great way to meet new people. Those that are in teams will become great friends with their team mates and thus, increasing the trust between players. Guild wars 2 is a lot about team play, if you don’t trust your team then you will not succeed. If you are not happy with the team you are in, then you can leave and apply for another with just a single click. If you want to see how this works in full detail, you will have to check out the “Team Ladder” page on the website.
Ok, What about Organisation?
Myself being a University student, I have to be organised, therefore I'd like everything that is done around me to be organised, I have took the time to build the site from SCRATCH, everything on the website is completely dynamic and improvements can be made all the time. The forums can be dreading for some people, that is why I took the time to develop a "Match Display" page, which will display all upcoming matches, allowing you, the player to also be very organised. We monitor all activity throughout the website and can change anything we want at any given time, we also understand that Guild wars 2 will also have features for guilds on their website, we look to integrate our website with theirs.
You mentioned PvE?
Of course, with every game comes PvE, some players prefer this approach and please, just because we are a guild focused more towards PvP, that does not mean in the slightest that we won't be won't be doing PvE, with the forums, players are able to rally their own group to do instances together, or level together, what ever your heart desires, you make the topic, ask people if they would like to join and there you have it, you have your own unofficial group.
How do I join?
It is so simple and so easy! Head over to our Website and register there, fill out an application form and thats it! You will receive an email when your application status changes. You may also be asked to be interviewed on Teamspeak incase your application is too hard to believe. We are looking for experienced PvPers, players that have knowledge in the area and have played MMOs enough to know the basic terms and so on. Also, please do not tell us about how you killed a pack of wolves when filling out your application, while that is nice and all, it’s not what we’re looking for.
Best of luck to you and have fun!
