    Cool Skyrim and its secrets

Im pretty sure most of you who will read this are playing Skyrim last 5 days.
So i wanted to make one thread that will contain those little things about Skyrim and discuss about them..Like some funny stuff, quests, rare items, treasures, weird NPCs, problems with specific thing in game and so...

I'll start with one advice, if you are playing Assassin and you, like me, dont like how armor of the Dark Brotherhood looks like, try combining some parts of it with Thief's guild armor:
    -Hood of Dark Brotherhood
    -Chest of Thieves
    -Gloves of Dark Brotherhood
-Boots of Dark Brotherhood or Thieves

(best looking and strongest combination you can get)

Random "tip" that went past my twitter feed the other day: "turns out if you manipulate game mechanics to give yourself 100 stealth right away the bosses become essentially unbeatable" (since the game scales bosses with your level, and having 100 stealth but not 17 levels worth of combat skill = you die)

Feeling tired? There's a nap for that.

    I don't want to read anything about the brotherhood or thieves guild since I haven't got up to them, but I found a really nifty .ini edit for the PC. Go to C:\Users\Philip\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini and add fdefaultfov=90 just under general at the top (or replace 90 with whatever number suits you). This adjusts the games FOV, an option every PC game should support. Enjoy being able to actually see the world without tunnel vision (;

A picture to show the difference FOV makes (I believe this is comparing 60 to 90, 90 shows more. Footage from BF3): http://i.imgur.com/YZqLK.jpg . Note: The picture with a higher FOV is standing slightly closer to the building than the 60 FOV, so the difference is even bigger/better than it seems.

yeah Winterbay i would recommend to you and everyone else do not use any kind of cheats, its like marijuana gives you happiness for few minutes and then the rest of the game is....Dat feeling isn't same anymore when you know you cheated

and that FOV thing, can you explain how it works? and does it requests better graphic card or smthing?

FOV (field of view) is the angle at which your camera sees the world. Think of it as how far your peripheral vision goes. In real life, if you move your finger around your head, you'll see it roughly around 180 degrees around your head (180 is just my guess). If a game has a FOV of 60, you'll only see 60 degrees in front of you (30 degrees right and 30 left). Lots of people get motion sickness if they have a small FOV, and besides that it's simply very limiting because you can't see anywhere remotely near as much at any one point in time. However, setting a FOV that's way too high will make any game glitch out, so don't think you can set it to 360 and see everything around you. 90 is generally considered as high as you should go before the game starts looking weird.

If you load up that image I linked, pay close attention to the sides of the images and how much you can see. Notice the lamposts on the bottom picture, you can see 1 on each side. On the top picture, you have more vision and see 2 on each side. Increasing FOV will require a slightly more performance from your graphics card, but I don't think it should be terribly demanding...

i dunno what i want to be, right now im just a redwood thing, im currently a warrior, i like the full on combat, but mayb im gunna venture into sneak attacks on weekend, cos thats what everyone seems to be doing. See alot of vids with people using cheats, its mad, i bought this game to play it, not to get everything straight away, makes no sense to me, a bit like pees who buy GW gold, why buy the game if you aint gunna play it?
Gaming is for fun. So lets play and relax!

    Thanks ComplexNuber
and btw, for those people who are scared to go on random locations or kill random people and limit their quest sources. Dont do that, feel free to kill em all ^^

ps: Esbern (npc who will take part in several main quests) is totally lagged
check forums before those quests for guides (or cheats..) how to operate with this laggy old dude or do side quests till bethesda release fix

You actually have slightly more than 180 I think. Some fun birds have closer to 300 which is crazy
