Instead of love at first sight, it seems we are just strangers in the night. Shaken by this thought, I withdraw my arm, that was instinctively reaching for the gobstopper and in that instant I'm haunted by a thousand what if and could have beens. But that's all for naught now, I must leave this place; another experience, another memory, another opportunity missed. It's Captain Logan and I again, alone, together, against the world. Raging against the dying of the light.

You reach into the mailbox and withdraw the flyer. There are cobwebs on one corner of it; it has obviously been there for a while.

Life is fleeting and true moments of joy are few and far between.
Happiness is laced with shards of pain.

I step away from the door, my confuzzeldness at an all time high. Why has this strange woman taken out a toy gun? Is this a dream? No, I'm still wearing pants. This shannanigans has gone on long enough; I decided to come clean. "I'm a cleverly disquised liger from the future. I have come back in time to find you, you are the key to saving the human race in year 3174. You need to come with me".

You examine the rickety fence. It has partially collapsed and appears to be missing a board or two. The gate is still standing and locked.

You wrest a board away from the fence with little effort. It is three feet long and has several partially rusted nails protruding from it.

You bang the board on the ground and manage to extract four partially rusted nails. Two are perfectly straight, one is slightly bent and and one is very bent.
