I play other games, but I will not be playing until things are sorted out you are correct.
I am glad you do not believe in torturing yourself. But yet, here I am watching you still whipping yourself about a game you're not even playing? This is the kind of thing I never understood about people. You're posting on a fan forum complaining about a game you aren't even playing. Complaining about things that the company clearly stated will be in post launch. You might not be patient, but YOU don't run Anet nor their release schedule so why bring all these negative vibes down upon the rest of us?

I too am in a break period away from GW2. Not because I dislike it, but because I wanted to - I understand how my own mind works when it comes to burning out on a game and I really don't want to burn out on GW2. I think what Anet has produced is one of greatest examples of a game in recent time. I've gone back to some of my PS3 games and I am having a hard time playing THOSE because of GW2. And yea, before you accuse me of being a fanboy let me turn that around: I am a fan of GW2 - that is why I am posting here on a FAN site for the game.

I highly doubt it. SilentFox750, that was like 12 years ago before it blew up and got insanely popular.

People rant and vent and banter with other people. Doesnt mean I dont respect peoples views, I just don't see why I should not be allowed to argue a negative.

It is no different to someone posting a great, fun filled post, about something in the game that you do not enjoy. You would still disagree with the post.

That's pretty cool dude. I'm not a competitive gamer myself, but I think it's awesome that you've taken it to that level.

I was under the impression that this was a Guild Wars 2 discussion site, I would not refer to you as a Fan Boy at all, You can be a fan of what you wish.

But under what you say, they should ban anyone from these forums who wants to offer a negative rant, they should also ban anyone from these forums who is currently not an active player.

Also they should moderate people who join and state that these 2 things are not welcome here, this is a site for Fan's only, and any negative comment about the game will not be tolerated.

Which is completely unreasonable to do, Its causing a problem because I like to reply back and didnt just lay down and log off when everyone said I was wrong.

I just don't see an argument at all. Is it happy vs sad as far as the game makes us feel? You're sad and I'm happy so you disagree and that makes an argument?

I'm trying to say that you're not actually saying anything. You're stating obvious facts and blatant opinions in a negative way simply to complain.

Would you like to argue that the sPvP is fun and balanced? I don't. I agree it could use some work and look forward to it as an eSport but I understand that it simply isn't part of the game at this point (which was stated to me and everyone else by Anet prerelease). Maybe the problem comes from a misconception somewhere.

Fair Play to you, I have only been playing competitively in various games for 6 years so I will not know you in the SC2 scene.

Feel free to post a negative opinion, I just don't understand your NEED to post about a game you're not even playing. I just re-read your OP and in it you didn't come up with any constructive criticisms you basically said "No ESport=game fail" to tl;dr it to its core. TBH, I've watched people like you for a decade; nothing good to say, so I will say all the negative shit to stir the pot. Hell, I am that person at times.

Pot has been successfully stirred. Back to your regularly scheduled programing.

I don't understand someones need to post a positive opinion sometimes, if you enjoy something thats great, but again does the world really need to know that you enjoy it.

The game has great visuals, a wide variety of things to do, and the backing of a company who seem to really believe in their product.

I have also been watching people for the same amount of time, good opinions, and bad, and I can safely say that everyone is different.

I also know that people who are constantly positive to the point of annoyance can stir the pot along with the negative ones

No one said you shouldn't. You can ask anyone here, I've often pointed out negatives of the game. This has nothing to do with negatives. You seem to have an incredibly shallow view of what makes a game successful competitively and what the Dev's need to focus their time on.

It's true, we don't have specator mode yet. But we also don't have guesting yet. Which is supposed to be one of the games major selling points.

It's true, you'll have to use Gems to enter the new types of in game tournaments. (With the exception of SC/SC2 where teams have salaries and sponsorships) how is that any different from any other gaming tournament in the world? Seriously. EVO2k, the biggest fighting game tournament in America, happened earlier this year in July. $40 venue fee, $30 entry fee per game (potentially $180 in entry fees if you enter all 6 games), which pays out to the top 8 players from the pot. Just like how if you win the tournaments you spend gems on, you'll get the gems back + compensation.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd think that'd give you an insentive to win more and improve your gameplay, as you'd actually be winning "money"(even though it's only in game) as your prize.
