Humans still the most popular...

Before GW2 launched, I had several rabid debates on this forum, when I would comment that I saw the humans being the most played race and new races, like Sylvari, for example, not being as popular.

My thoughts were based on what I saw happening in my own guild (a snapshot of 100 people or so), plus my own common sense, where I've seen humans generally the most popular in any MMO.

Of course, as is par for the course from some posters here, I was told that I was totally wrong, etc, etc.

Well, here comes the vindication. Humans ARE the most popular. And races like Sylvari aren't all that popular, and aren't any more popular than several of the other races.

LMAO! Still trying after all this time. I said all along humans in EVERY poll were the most popular. What you did say was that the Asura and Sylvari no one cared about. Which is demonstrably untrue, since norn and charr both have less players, by both poll and by the ANet graph shows that at least charr are the least popular race.

You can't find a single post where I said anything but that humans were the most popular. My objection to your post was your casual dismissal of Sylvari and Asura, both of which have proved to be pretty popular. Certainly more popular than the charr.

Not admitting you were wrong then was one thing. Trying to rebring this conversation up months later with a misleading I told you so, that isn't what you said originally, is just well...funny.

We did argue quite a bit about it. And I did provide what was the largest poll I could find, which showed humans were in the majority. In fact, every poll I've ever seen put humans firmly ahead. I didn't even think that was ever under debate by anyone.

You came out and said, no one in my guild is playing a Sylvari or Asura, so no one cares about them. The truth is, except for human, the races are pretty much spread out, with the norn actually having a bit more and the charr having a bit less.

I think you need to look up ego in the dictonary. That conversation was ages ago. I can't believe it's been on your mind so much that you'd come back now just to bring it up. Priceless. lol

I would expect humans to be the most played race but it's the non human races that would be the interesting part on how they ranked. The only non human I play is a charr warrior

Basically norn seems to have moved up in the world from earlier polls, being second, by a relatively small margin...seems like asura and sylvari are roughly tied for third and in last place, but only by a tiny bit is the charr.
