Actually Vayne never said that. Go and find the quote, I'll wait here. That's a pretty damned good sales track so far, and it's not even correct in total, because we know that the game broke 2 million sales total, and that's saying it only hit 1.3. Therefore, some of the sales aren't being recorded. Maybe those are the boxed sales from retailers and don't include direct sales from Anet?

In any event, eight weeks after a game comes out, that's still pretty good. I never said sales wouldn't slow, I said that sales would continue and those playing would continue to grow over time. In my experience, we have more incoming than outgoing. Every single day we have new people signing onto these forums saying they just got the game.

The projected sales figure, which I stated before, was 3.2 million the first year. The way this is going it, looks very much like they'll hit that. Particularly if Anet's direct sales aren't counted.

There are children dying all around the world, dying of hunger. There is a civil war in Syria. This game costs as much as some people make all year. And here we are bitching at each other like we killed each other's puppies. Vayne and Shoke, you both need to grow up. And by grow up, I mean act like grown men and responsible adults, not like bickering, self-entitled, arrogant children. This whole thread is like two kids arguing over a blue ball. One is ok with the blue ball, and the other is disappointed with it. And then they fight over it. The level of disrespect in this thread is astonishing. Especially from people that touted, that this forum was a respectful place to discuss a video game.

Actually this is the first offensive post I've read in this entire thread. I have yet to read one until now. Let's have some schooling shall we?

Do you have any idea what I do with my money? Do you know how much I give to charity, what I volunteer for, how I vote, or what else goes on in my life away from here? I didn't think so.

Grown men who work all week, debate football in their spare time and no one says to them it's only a game, grow up. I'm not angry or annoyed at Shoke, and I consider him one of my friends. I don't see why two friends in a debate about something they enjoy should bother you.

More to the point, some of us, like me suffer from chronic pain, where distraction is pretty much the only medicine that works. Arguing about this distracts me from pain and makes my life more livable. I'm really sorry if this offends you on a deep intellectual level.

I care for a disabled person full time. I have plenty of down computer time when I'm not needed. What would you suggest I do? Fly over to Africa and help build a village? Open a soup kitchen for the homeless.

Until you know more about people's personal situations, you shouldn't judge them. Because frankly, the arrogance rolling off this post is beyond the pall.

I'll weigh in on this. If all these external things are so important then why are you spending your time in a video game forum or on a video game. Vayne is right, you've got no clue what he or I or any one else does with their money or time in the form of charity. Just because Vayne and I don't see eye to eye on this doesn't mean I wish him any ill (or anyone else I disagree with publicly) nor does it mean that I wont continue to help those I regularly help. It is really kinda silly to assume otherwise.
