**** yeah. i got $30 so far and tomorrow ill have $30 more! im so buying this game tomorrow! im so fucking excited to be a sylvari elementalist! and level up using WvWvW!

so if i purchase GW2 online on their website it gives me a serial key that i use to make a GW2 account and then it will lead me to the page to download the mac beta client correct? and then once the beta is over the beta client just turns into the official mac client correct? thanks for all the people who replied here btw! your info was great!

And is there a level cap in the Mac Beta? or can you hit 80?

Well like I said before, you're getting the full game here. The only thing that changes is your computers compatibility with the game.

And yes, after you purchase the game you will get an email with your access key inside. Then you need to head to register.guildwars2.com and set up your account.

You're buying an access key for an online account. You will be able to play the game from anywhere, regardless of what computer you bought it on... as long as it's in the same region (meaning that if you're in the US or in Europe, make sure your friend is as well). And make sure you use your own email address for the account!

And no, there is no level cap on the Mac Beta. The game is fully playable. The 'beta' just means that the Mac hardware support may not yet be 100% stable or reliable at all times.

I have a Mac, and through boot camp I played Guild Wars 2 on a Windows partition of this computer. When the Mac beta was released, I downloaded it free and it works. I can testify for you from experience that you don't have to worry!

There is one minor bug. Once in a while the mouse/camera go into a wild spin which goes away if you re-log. It's happened to me twice since release, so don't worry about it.

Whoops, is your mac compatible with mountain lion. I have Lion on mine, but cannot do Mountain Lion as as it does not like computers before 2008.

And just to add to the already said.

I bought the Game for my Mac, on the bootcamp side. Mac's Client came out. I don't Bootcamp anymore. I play straight from the mac. didn't have to pay anything. And I don't know if it's just me. but the mac side is better than my "PC" side. for some reason. My "PC" on all high setting doesn't show shadows. MAC side does /shrugs.
