    Harathi Hinterlands Questions?

Just completed this map and have a few questions/querier regarding the area...

1, The Feral Dens? I see a door guarded by bandits but once the bandits are killed, the door will not open?

2, Bandit cave near Fauns waypoint.. there is a Bandit cave cut into the cliff and guarded by 3/4 bandits... in the cave the map shows it is full of herbss/vegetables.. the door to the cave will open but you are unable to walk inside?

That cave with the vegetables is bugged, has been bugged for over 3 weeks but A-Net does not give a crap about fixing it.

The Feral Dens will open as part of a quest chain events.

I love how people just make assumptions. Anet doesn't give a crap about fixing it. One day, I hope you own your own programming business, so you'd see how silly that actually sounds.

Of course they give a crap about fixing it. It's prioritized like everything else. Any programmer worth their salt would probably work on stalled storylines and things that block progress, before they work on a door that has some vegetables behind it. lol

There have been hundreds of reports about it and still is bugged, to me means "we dont give a crap" "we will get to it when we get to it". Sorry but its the truth.

Hundreds of reports vs hundreds of bugs, all of which have to be fixed. Prioritize means that you do what you can with the resources you have. Let me give you a simple example.

Last year, I donated money to various charities, including breast cancer, colon cancer, an animal shelter, a few disaster funds, and probably some others. I gave no money, however, at all, to muscular dystrophy.

Does this mean I don't give a crap about muscular dystrophy? Of course not.

It's one thing to give a crap about something and another to have the resources to spread around to do everything you want to do. Can you give me a single compelling reason why Anet wouldn't give a crap about any bug?

As I said, and this goes for most developers, I don't see any real motivation for them not to care at all about a bug. I can see developers not having the resources to get to every bug in a timely manner however.

Actually, I'm sure there are probably companies that don't care, but I'm pretty sure Anet isn't one of them.

Could you really be that obtuse? As Vayne said, it's priorities, their staff is only so big and it can only fix so many problems and of course they are going to fix the bigger problems first. There are bugs that prevent progress that are being worked and need to be fixed first. They can't just wave a magic wand, type a line of code, and "viola, fixed". It doesn't work like that. They have to figure out WHY it's bugged and every line of code they change often effects something else in the game. Fixing bugs may seem like it's an easy thing, but really, it's not.

Not to say you're wrong about the thing with priority, but why do you always feel the urge to say something like that whenever someone slightly criticises ANet. Isn't your stalwart defender role getting a bit old to you too?

I think it's only natural that there are bugs. But likewise it's also only natural to complain about them not being fixed quickly enough. I mean I can't continue with my storyquest (the Hatchery an Order of whispers quest (the second time I had a no progress bug in this personal storyline btw...) because the event just won't continue. That just sucks and I think it's my right to say so.
