I prefer the challenging games. I absolutely loved Dark souls and demon souls. They kicked yours and gave you a sense of accomplishment. YOU DIE! Genetics is also a major factor in gaming performance. Your reaction time, hand eye coordination, intelligence, athletic ability etc etc is as or more important than your age. I'm 45 and Have not experienced any slow down in gaming performance over the years.

    No.

    I never said that.

I also never said any mechanic shouldn't be in-game merely for the fact it's not brought up on forums.Your miss-interpretation of my statements has no merit on your rebuttal. If you want to base debate on every hypothetical "what if" scenario or gaming mechanic that could be introduced to the game you may as well just high five yourself all day.

I agree! I haven't laughed out loud this much in a long time! I laughed so loud at some of the stuff on this thread that my cat is now staring at me like I've cracked. heheh

As for the Clock Tower jumping puzzle - I didn't do it. I don't do jumping puzzles. Most of the time I just feel frustrated and wondering if it's my lack of skill that makes them so tough or the fact that I have to play at 16 FPS due to a shite video card, or both. lol But either way, I don't find them fun and even when I do finish one I have no sense of accomplishment only thoughts something along the line of "Shit, can't believe I wasted X amount of time on that when I could have been leveling or crafting". lol So needless to say, I'm not a fan of the jumping puzzles (some of the vistas are hard enough as it is lol). But I am happy that many people do like the jumping puzzles. And the fact that this one was so challenging probably made it that much more fun for those who like that kind of a challenge.

Don't expect to be able to do everything in this game. As others pointed out, as long not being able to do something isn't keeping people from progressing in this game, I don't see what the big deal is. The clock tower was never a requirement for getting the achievements and it was put so far out of the way that I didn't even know it existed until I started reading about it on the forums. heheh It wasn't an in your face event or even something that you where missing something amazing if you couldn't do it. Take it for what it was - a challenging puzzle that gave this game even more flavor than it had before.

I don't think there is one.

It's just gaming dorks arguing semantics over tangents in threads on a gaming forum

Outside that people who dislike that mechanic are feeling excluded and over-saturated.As such the mechanic itself is fine, even if I hate it or it's not for me, but it's the implementation and execution at fault and being debated.
Not sure how else I'm supposed to interpret you arguing against a mechanic being in a game cause if it had been missing nobody would have asked for it on the forums. But if you say I misinterpreted then sure, I can't know what you're thinking.

My what if scenario was to prove a point, but I don't think you're really following what my argument was so I'd say just forget it.

I then responded to your second point, about the implementation being at fault. I feel like I addressed your arguments quite fairly.

Well, you do get an achievement for beating it, but you could still get the Halloween title without it. I just know I'll do every achievement I can, and because I didn't do that one, it'll just stare at me for the rest of eternity.

For that reason alone, I hope they bring it back next Halloween.

Like I said already, I take issue with it.I never stated that due to lack of people asking any mechanic is a bad idea. You can quote me all day long.I state opinion, not fact.

"49 my age/diabetic/blind of one eye and deaf of one ear, but still kicking."

    Am I the only one?!

I just don't see age being the issue here.
