Made a very big mistake and I need your help please

well, I do not really wanna talk about this as I feel so horribly for it, but maybe I can find some answers here, or at least some helpful suggestion and some sleep again. Please do not troll, or hate me. I really know how bad it was what I have done (now) and I'm so sorry for it.

First of all I have to say I'm kinda new to the mmo genre, I've tried out some mmos before, but none of them could made me stay even for a few hours. Guild Wars 2 however is the first mmo game I really like and participate. Yes, I absolutely love this game.
But now to the point, I've bought some coins from gold-sellers (( I know, I know very stupid. But please believe me, I really didn't know how bad it was at all, as I've done this. After further research I was quite shocked, hacked accounts and all this. Its really horribly and I don't want this to happen to any player of this great community. But I can't make the buying unhappen and thers not much left of the gold now. So what should I do? I've already bought 2 x 1600 gems from the gem store during the last days, (just becaurse I felt sorry) and I will continue to buy gems only from AN now. I'm about to stay in the game quite the next few years, maybee and I will buy gems from ANet every month. Literally it means I will most likely support them with 40€/Month, just to say that. And I will never, ever talk to any gold seller again, promised. But what should I do now? I thought about writing a massage to the support center and apologise in all means, but I'm so feared they will ban me anyways. All advice welcome. Again, please don't troll me, I'm really, really sorry

I would advise you not tell anet. Whats done is done. Lots of people buy gold. If they didnt, there wouldnt be gold sellers in all the chat channels. I myself have bought gold in past games.

In ffxi almost no one who was endgame did it without the "extra' help.

Dont tell AN imo. Don't do it again. They have a backlog of things they're working on and if they catch the seller in the future, they may catch you but there is no point worrying about it now. You feel bad, if you need extra funds, buy gems legaly fro mnow on, but don't feel like you now have to send money to them to "fix" this.

Don't tell Anet, don't panic/worry and don't do it again. Perhaps change your password too.

If Anet get in touch with you be apologetic, keep repeating your new and didn't know it was wrong. Probably just get a temp ban worse case scenario.

You definitely need to change your password and I'd change my email account as well. I wouldn't tell Anet. Just play the game and enjoy it. And don't buy from those guys again, because at the end of the day, it hurts the whole industry.

I bought gold in the original GW a couple of times back in 2006 (I actually ended up selling that account on eBay, though, but thats beside the point)... but I don't recall ever having to give my account information away... you just ordered the gold off the website, chose which city ot meet in, then you'd get a whisper and a trade request, but a BS item in the trade and get the money. I never did this with my second account (yes, I eventually returned to the game and had to buy the whole trilogy again, lol), but I would assume the process never changed.

Now, I don't have GW2 yet, but I can't understand why you would have to give your account info to buy gold... is the trade system different? Can you not give gold for items? Did you have to buy a farm bot for a day or something? I just don't understand why you're afraid of your account being hacked if you didn't have to give out your info, and if you ahd to give out your info, I can't understand why.

Sorry for the worthless post, but I'm just confused... also, never feel bad that you bought gold. We've all done it at some time for some game, and if you haven't then you're either a boring farmer, or you're totally new to the genre, lol... so, no worries... just don't do it again.

There is no way to direct trade in Guild Wars 2. All trades must go through the mail, which means that someone has to be able to contact you. They'll at least get your account name that way. I'm convinced one of the reasons Anet went this way is for the paper trail to track down gold-sellers.

There's a market place that's pretty good rather than an auction house, you can place both buy and sell orders, for one thing. which is cool. There's no COD so there's no way to really trade via mail, unless you really trust someone. I personally wouldn't do it, except with close friends or long time guildies.

Really the marketplace is the best way to sell things.
