Lack of people in 55-65 Area :-(

Leveling my Human Thief on Gandara (UK Server) and got him to 58 and been adventuring around Sparkfly fen which has some amazing Group Events - the problem is there are very few people around to do them with

    Where are all the people?

I don't know what server you're on, but I do have a question. Have you tried starting an event and see what happens. Sometimes it doesn't look like people are around, but then after a bit, they start showing up. Happens to me all the time.

Also there's more than one zone in that level range, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people end up in Timberline Falls and Mount Maelstrom. I say this because there are more humans than any other race right now, and if you follow through from the human areas, you more naturally tend to get there than Sparkfly Fen.

At least that was the case for me.

I've been having the same problem. I think most of the people are burnt out from being on so much during the Halloween event maybe? I know some of my guildies are taking a couple days off after playing so much during that event. Or maybe it's that most people have lv 80 characters that they are playing in Orr or doing PVP.

It's kind of a pain in the bottom though, I totally agree. I'm currently leveling in the lv 60-70 areas and they seem to be pretty dead. This makes some of the DEs extremely difficult to do if no one else is around to help you do them. But then again I also play at the 'wrong times' - as I'm on a North American world and usually can only get on around 2 and 3 AM server time. Not the best time to try and find people to play with since much of the servers population is asleep at that time. lol

This is really good advice and I agree. I've seen WAY more people in the human areas then in the other race's zones. I was playing last night in one of the Charr zones and it's quite empty. But then again, most people don't like the Charr zones. heheh

I was under the impression that Sparkfly fen WAS in the human area (as i am human)

    Queensdale 1-17
    Kessex hills 15-25
    Harathi highlands 25-35
    Hathari hinterlands 35-45
    Bloodtide coast 45-55
    Sparkfly fens 55-65

Timberline falls looks to be more Norn area (looking at the map)

I'm having the same problem in Fireheart Rise. I not sure if I've seen 5 people yet in my exploration. I didn't see many people in Mount Maelstrom either.

I have no idea, really. I know that when I played my human, going through the story, I never touched Sparkfly Fen at all. Sparkfly fen is more Asura/Sylvari as far as I know, but I'd expect that knowing the Guild Wars lore. Sparkfly Swamp in Guild Wars 1 was in the Tarnished Coast, which is an Asuran area and where the Pale tree is.

Well, after further examining the map, Sparkfly Fen is the only 60-ish area within the Human zone...
Maybe your personal story brought you to the Norn area :-)

Right, but it was the human personal story. I'm not sure if all branches of the human personal story take you there. Does anyone know if any branch of the human personal story actually takes you to Sparkfly Swamp?

If you tell people there's a group event on map chat and link the nearest waypoint I find quite a few people turn up to help.
Might of just been a popular event when I did it though.

It doesn't, no. I'm level 80 human and I only started there to day, just because I've never had a reason to go / end up there, besides now that I'm working on 100% WC.
