It is not worth the money, you just get one extra skill for 20 bucks

I got the collector's edition, mostly because I'm a whore for collector's editions and wanted the Rytlock statue. The in-game stuff is okay, but it's not really stuff you use passed like level 10 unless you save the golem banker. The exception to that is the elite skill. It's an alright ability, I find more use out of my class-specific elites than I do the Mistfire Wolf.
If you want the real world stuff, get the collector's edition, in my opinion it's not worth it just for the in-game stuff. Neither is the $20 digital deluxe upgrade.
If you're an altoholic, the digital collectors edition keeps giving, since you get the golem banker and the ring on every single new character. That alone made it worth it for me. But then I got the skill and I love minis. It's still $20 which is a big chunk of change. The points for glory and guild influence are okay but you'll earn them eventually anyway.

I bought it and what you get in-game is CRAP in comparison to the equivalent in GW1.I got the physical copy btw.
The only thing that may sway you is the artwork, which is a big thing for me as I'm into that, or the statue.For the price I payed it was a crap deal though imho.Go standard.

I got the physical collector's edition, because I'm a collector at heart. I absolutely love the Rytlock statue in it... it's awesome and incredibly detailed. The making-of book is a cool addition to the artbook that I already had, the art portfolio is also "nice", the "best of" soundtrack CD is a disappointment (only 6 tracks).
It also includes all the same digital bonus items as the Digital Deluxe Edition... most of those aren't all that great imho, but the mini rytlock and the wolf elite skill are nice to have.
I added the full 4-CD soundtrack from directsong and the official 'guide' from bradygames just to complete the collection... though I can't really recommend the guide for its contents.
Couldn't agree more. I have become a real altoholic and the golem banker rocks for getting a new alt up and running, the ring is a nice starter piece and while I level past this in a few hours on each new character it sure does come in handy. I have wasted $20 on a hell of a lot worse in my life. Pushing over 500 hours at my last /age check 7 days ago, I have more time in this game with skyrim being a close 2nd. Now as for the "worth it" part that is completely subjective. A hardcore gamer and collector is going to jump on it, gobble it up and never look back. This was the first collector edition I did not buy this year after having blown $$ on the Skyrim and Amalur collectors edition, and boy do I regret not doing.

There are three versions of the game. As far as I know, the Guild Wars 2 site doesn't offer the CE at all, only the digital CE which is a different animal.However I am a little confused now... The problem is, as in Australia, the CE is more expensive here than in the States. Because of the zoning thing (European users need a European copy) those in Europe end up having to spend more, which I admit sucks. I'm in Australia and I frequently have to spend more for my games than people in the US, but that's how it is.
Note that if you're in Europe, you have to buy a European copy of the game.
Vayne is right that you cannot purchase any physical editions (including the CE) directly from the official website.
And what Vayne is referring to wrth the 'zoning': the game has region locking, which means that if you're in Europe and you want the CE, then you will have to pay €150 (or even £150 if you purchase it from Amazon UK). If you buy the CE from Amazon US, you will not be able to play the game.. a US key simply will not work in the EU (and vice versa).
That doesn't just apply to the CE... it applies to all versions of the game.
