No chat in the game !?

Please help me, i installed the game few days ago, started playing but there is no chat at all, there is nobody chating, the chat window in the left-down corner is empty, nobody is speaking and i don’t get any of the game messages, in GW1 there was a lot of text, everybody were talking, there were advertisements and everything…

Any help ??

Did you check your chat window settings? You can filter what shows up in each window (map, guild, whisper, party etc.). It's possible you turned all of them off, or are looking at only party chat when you're not in a party, etc.

That'd be the first thing I checked.

All chanells are ticked, is it ok ?

Does the game send any messages?
I guess it is imposible that there is apsolutely no text in chat window. Not a word.

Where are you at? If you're in the tutorial it's possible (though unlikely I'd think) that you're completely alone. Go to one of the main cities like Lion's Arch. There should definitely be map chat showing up there.
