Thread: Guild Wars 2 Lag?

That wouldn't work either. The GPU is going to be the most expensive and limiting factor.

Look for something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883227437

That was the cheapest one I could find with a decent enough graphics card to play at medium-ish settings.

What do you think of this?

You need a gaming video card (GPU) and a power supply that will support a gaming video card. Also, highly recommend Windows 7 64bit operating system and at least 4GB of memory.

I wouldn't advise to buy this one. Pentium D is a really old processor now. Plus I can't see what graphicscard the thing has. I bet some built in thing. You don't want graphics cards that are built into the processor for gaming purposes.
I'm by no means an expert on computers, but you will need to spend more than ~100 $ for a computer that is able to run this (and other) modern computer games decently.

I think the one Stonesolid posted is pretty much the bottom limit you will want to look for.

    500$ dang.. For a decent computer.. /gaming.

    Question

For a good build i need to look for

    CPU SPEED
CPU CORES which idk what that is. if some1 could explain the diffrence Single double triple quad.
    Ram Size. 2gb 4gb ETc.
    Hard Drive size.
Processor type. Their is so many
    AMD Athlon II (7)
    AMD Phenom (3)
    AMD Phenom II (3)
    AMD Sempron (1)
    Intel Core 2 (14)
    Intel Core i3 (162)
    Intel Core i5 (456)
    Intel Core i7 (391)
    Intel Pentium (8)
Makes no scence to me What would be a good one in your opinions?

    Graphics Processor

A Sandy Bridge-based Core i5 is all you need for the best possible experience. However, a Core i3 or Pentium processor will also perform well. Clock rate is particularly important if you're using an FX-based chip from AMD. Take full advantage of those unlocked multipliers to push 3.5 GHz or higher with the FX-8000 and -6000 CPUs, and over 4 GHz with the FX-4000 series if possible. The Llano-based APUs struggle more with this game, presumably because they lack L3 cache. If you have an A8-3870K, the only unlocked model, try to get up above 3.5 GHz with it.

He said that in the second link you posted. What the heck is all that
Also I don't understand this i3 ,i5, i7 stuff... So confused ima keep researching but would appreciate if you could explain and a easy way.

They're just different names for different classes of processor. i7 is high tier, i5 is mid tier, and i3 is low tier. You'll need at least an i5 or one the cheap AMD solutions if you want to run the game decently. Honestly that doesn't matter though if you don't buy a decent graphics card. Anything below a decent card in the mid-tier is not going to have a fun time running GW2. And $500 for a decent machine is a good price and probably what you're looking at spending if you want to run at higher than minimum settings but don't want to spend >$1000.

This one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883229362) is practically better but the 610 is a bottom-of-the-line card. You MIGHT be able to run the game on minimum settings. The best thing about that bundle is that you only need a new PSU and GPU to upgrade it to a useful machine. I looked through pretty much every PC on Newegg and the $500 one I linked was the best deal for the price and probably the only "cheap" PC they had that would play the game at a decent rate.

You won't need to upgrade your ISP, btw. The only reason to do that would be if you were on a high latency circuit, like satellite or something.
