Grrr.hate doing this but Help!

ok so ive had the game a month and i love the graphics the style and the people but i cant find a class that plays to my style on other mmo's.i know i know its not like other mmo's but wow ruined me in some ways.

Like
Fast attacks
fast movement
Mixture of ranged and melee
mix of more than one style Eg dps one point healing the next
pretty armor not nessary revealing but pretty good looking
good animations(hate just standing there)

hates
not too keen on pet classes i can play them but the pets bore me.
slow lumbering hulks of things that take ages to kill anything
ugly armor
being pigeon holed into one role all the time.
a class thats too simple

On wow i play a druid balance and resto and a shaman ench and resto.Really i am looking for something like these.Maybe its not possible or amybe its the wrong game for me but i want to try so i come here to you nice people.

Thief.
Fast Attacks, can move extremly fast with Shortbow Skill 5 or 25% running speed signet, you can get Swiftness from traits, shadowstep.

Has mix of melee and Ranged or pure melee if you want or pure Ranged.
Thiefs look cool.

I have to agree, from your description the Thief appears to be the best match.

Or elementalist. Depending on your weapons set up you can be both ranged and melee. and then depending on the attunements you can help heal your fellow players and also hurt the enemy pretty good.

quite frankly it sounds like you want an elementalist. I must advice you against this. It's a pain in the butt profession to master. It's probably the most complicated and difficult class to work.

Thief on the other hand is nice because you'll you're so front loaded on attacks, once you chose your build you'll pretty much do the same attack sequence every time. And if you're smart, you'll be able to get away easily if it does't work.

However the thief WILL pigenhole you pretty much...you'll have one or two roles to play. Nobody is going to say " we need some thieves here to give us swiftness, or portal bomb, or give us heals, or combo's or slow/cripple half that zerg" so there are some tradeoffs with that class. Also, if you're pvping in any form, everyone and their uncle is rolling a thief so you'll be just one of the masses.

Really? I find my Ele to be one of the easier professions I have. My Engineer is a lot more tricky to play well.

Thats good for you. Generally speaking people seem to find it very challenging. Read the official forums. Read this forums subsection. Every time I see an ele in WvW or spvp, I roll them and only lost twice to another elementalist. I like it lots, generally speaking people find it dificult.

I'm guessing because they think of it as a DPS class and completely mismange the traits and set up of the profession.

Sounds to me like you want an Ele, but you will think it sucks until you get good at it. Once you're good at it it's so rewarding. It's great coming first place in the PvP scores so frequently

I would go Elementalist for a number of reasons.
1) Great support class for teaming with massive AOE damage, holds and heals.
2) When you learn to play your class and know when to switch between fire, air, water, stone or arcane you will own.
Start in stone, cast your sheild so you can round then all up, switch to air and cast a hold, dodge back and switch to water while their still held by your electrical field, cast your aoe to hold them all in ice while also damaging them, switch to fire (If they have any life left by then) and blast them with another AOE and rain a meteor shower down on them, if any come close, pick them off using the single target attacks, if you get hert, switch to water and heal yourself with water fountain for rain, but you mostly use healing rain to heal a group as its a big AOE heal.
You can do all this with a staff.

Or you can get up close and personal with 2 daggers and get another 16 different powers to pick from (I really like the fire sword or switch to air for the lightening whip).

Good luck wichever you decide
