I saw yesterday my first 100% sure bots.
I counted 15 of the same bot, all dressed alike, all buffing the same, running in circles and all 15 had the same name, how is that possible? How is possible to have 15 people with the same name, not a variation, exactly the same name.

Did they have l's in their name? That would explain it.
It was just 1 name like "explorer" or something like that and every single one of them had the same exactly name, I have a pic at home I took and will post it tonight when I get home.

Were you in WvW and they all said "invader"?
Nope I was in one of the starting areas PVE Metrica province where the big frogs are, they were killing all of them, one will come and start to attack then the second and then the third etc until the frog was dead and then moved to the next one and there were a group of 4 or 5 of them all running in a permanent circle like searching for respawns

I have noticed the bots are getting smarter with naming themselves. They choose one name and then make the slightest variation to each. For example "Twilight" then "Twliight" and "Twillght" And Twlilght". At a quick glance (or when they are running past you) it seems they are all the same name. I think this is to try to make it harder to report all of them. And it sure does work too. I have a hard time picking each one individually out of a crowd when they are all constantly moving with names that look practically all the same.
I never thought of it that way.. I just thought they weren't very creative. I see a lot of them with just randomized letters as names "Illshkhs", etc. They are getting annoying on FA as well. We had removed a lot of them but now we have HUGE pockets of them hidden around our server (including our WVW maps).Originally Posted by LLunatic

Yeah it took a while for the naked ranger group to disappear from Queensdale on FA.
A possible fix would be a person (GM) stationed there to kick them immediately and then ban their sorry bots
