I was born left-handed. Then with my teachers always hitting my hand for writing with my left hand, I grew accustomed to writing with my right hand. Then as most keyboard and mouse config are put with the mouse on the right hand size, I also grow accustomed to it.
I was an archery athlete and the first time I was uncomfortable with pulling my bowstring using my right arm (There were only right-handed bow at the time). My left arm is stronger. But I also grow accustomed to it.
Now I'm a hybrid. I play Tennis, badminton, table tennis wielding the racket in my left hand. Also throwing baseball with my left hand. But I write and use the mouse with my right.

I learned to write left-handed. I was never forced to use my other hand because all the teachers loved me. I hated pens and pencils, but the technology has improved so that smudging is not really an issue anymore and really, no one writes much of anything manually any more. I even fire a rifle/pistol/bow left-handed. I have a small scar on my right forearm from firing the M16 A1 one week at a range that did not have any left-handed ejection port adapters. About the only thing I do right handed is open doors and use a mouse.

ANYWAY! Back to the topic. Yes, I hate racism, but why not let them have their guild? I mean, if you want to spend money on making a guild, why not be able to only invite people who you want to play with? I agree it's pointless, but it's their decision. I'd only consider it a real problem if they actively were abusive (verbally, for those who think "how can they abuse someone over the internet?") to people of a different culture. Like, for example, my dad. I'm probably going to regret saying this, but he's actually pretty racist. But someone from another race would never know even if they were to talk to him. He's not rude and he doesn't call anyone racist names (while they're around ><) or anything, he keeps it to himself. Yes, it's wrong, but he's not causing any problems with anyone. Well... other than when I yell at him for being a jerk.

As I posted on the first page, in itself I wouldn't have a problem with a guild on this forum that is mainly for black people... just like I don't have a problem with guilds targeted mainly at women/Spanish speaking people/Europeans/Muslims, or whatever. It's the "zero tolerance against white people" part of their recruitment thread that was my trigger for contacting that particular guild leader. And due to the nature of his response (which I won't even repeat here or go into any further), this particular guild leader and guild thread have been removed from this forum.
There definitely is a difference between wanting to group up with like minded individuals with a similar cultural background, and intentional racism. The first is perfectly okay, the latter isn't tolerated here.

On a more serious note, I noticed someone saying that they had not seen racism in MMOs. I have. I have been on the bad end of it (not this game), not just name calling.
People are people and you are not going to escape all real life garbage and prejudices.
That guild is going to be nuked by Anet and rightly so.

Funny that, I was the same, buggered me up for life cos I just ended up turning the can opener handle the wrong way and screwing wall screws the wrong way. In a game like this I couldn't care less if a bunch of racists decided to group up together, it's not like they can go around and grief white players because they hate white people. For one thing griefing is pretty damn tough in this game and secondly unless they are targeting charr with white fur or something how will they know who to hate?
So I say let them create their guild and keep there hate mostly contained. Until they get on all chat and start spewing forth their stupidity it doesn't really affect anyone else.
