GW2 Total waste of Money.

In fact, I wouldn't play this one if it was free. I'll go back to WoW at $15 a month, it was money better spent if you ask me.

I saw this sentence coming by the first sentence.
How long have you played the game for? A lot of people come here with the same attitude but when they give it a chance they see why the choses were actually made and start to enjoy them.

GW2 is a very different game from WOW as everyone has commented. I came from WOW and have no intention to go back. GW2 feels more casual and less rigid to me. I can go do what I want without expectations from others (except dungeons). Many of my issues with WOW have been addressed by Arenanet. Earlier Vayne mentioned that having gaming choices is a good option as we all have different tastes. I couldn't agree more as I have several friends that continue to love WOW. Go with what works for you.

This is what I came in to say. Everything you listed, AN stated about the game multiple times before release.

If you go into WvW and aren't grouping up most of the time, you're doing it wrong. (yes you can solo, but you're not ninja stealing a keep solo or defenidng against 10 invaders solo) In dungeons you will group. In s/tpvp, you will need to make groups and have voice com if you want to be good. It doesn't have the trinity no, but man, if that caught you by suprise in this game, I'm not sure what to say.

I love this game because it is a pick up and play game. No need for subs. I don't feel guilty if I don't play for a week or two because some company is screwing me out of 10 quid a month for the privilege to play. Its a one off purchase that I can take or leave any time I want. I have already had my moneys worth. I leave WoW to the one shotters and the people who get a kick out of having the best equipment and needing a reason to level. GW2 is all about having fun whilst leveling and learning the intricacies of my chars instead of how many buttons I can bash. Good luck in Panda world

I could never play an MMO that didn't have it. See an animation or hear a sound...and react to it...awesome. Not stand there and hit the best key rotation, always. bleh

I love the complaint about how there is nothing to do at level 80 when you are only at level 20. A-Net is going to be dropping a new free event including a new dungeon next week and its been less than a month since the last big free event. But feel free to go spend 40 bucks +15 a month for kung fu panda world and thanks for supporting our game with the 1 time payment.

Yes Kung Fu Panda, But Tree People and big bull looking creatures along with humans shooting fire out of their hands all actually exsist.

The Panda thing annoys me so much, when every MMO is full of unbeliveable shit.

People were happy to play wow when talking cows were around for years, now there is a Panda it suddenly becomes silly?

Sure, I agree. It also gives you the option to turn off all the map icons, which I do, most of the time, anyway. I wish there was an option that only showed you things you have already discovered, but there's not. But you can still explore if you wish to explore, by turning off vista and skill point and POI icons. It's at very least a choice.

Closest thing to an old-style RPG in an MMO ever. It's not perfect, but it's a damned sight better than any alternative I've found.

Oh don't get me wrong, I have always thought WoW was a terrible game. It has awful graphics and ridiculously grindy play. The panda crap is just their latest and greatest way of showing that they really have given up trying since they know people will spend money on whatever garbage they put out.

I think the Panda was the straw that broke the camels back to be honest. I think it it the cutesy image they portray. Wow seem to be cartoonyfying everything as they aim for their younger audience. I know what you mean about the cows though Hey, we have talking rats.
