Go back to your beloved wow I will stay here and actually learn the game. What a concept anyone can participate, or play with whatever gear. Or again we can run around with our heads cut off clueless and beat the mob as a whole, I can be slow and stressed and thrive. I can do dungeons without some dang elitist telling me I cant join or I need to redo my AA's or x x x, go away sir back to your wow.
Couldn't agree more with this. My biggest problem with SWToR was that there was endgame at all. Not that it was inferiourly designed or because of the technical issues it undoubtedly had. 1-50 was an amazing journey of awesomeness and then the story suddenly ends and you have to grind dungeons...that was the end of the game for me. I'm not the person that replays a dungeon. ever (well, at least not if I have another option).
Of course the story can't go on indefinitely and is probably one of the most cost intensive things to produce. But had they had truly unique lvl 1-50 experiences (and by that I mean not only the different class quests that make up probably 10% of the game's quests) for all 8 base classes, but no endgame at all, I guess I would still be paying my sub. But as I had to do exactly the same on my alts except the class quests, which, as I said, don't make up that much in my opinion, one playthrough on each faction is more than enough. To me, this is the reason why this game failed so badly. They should've really come up with something different than dungeons and gear based pvp for endgame. More variety in levelling paths could have done the trick for them;
I would really have liked them to try a different approach. And that also applies to GW2 and is probably one of the main reasons, why I'm so disappointed about the recent changes. Gear grind is in enough games already. I'd really loved if they'd tried to come up with a more interesting take on character progression at maxlvl.
While I agree that most people losing interest in games can't be bothered to explain their reasoning, I'm glad some take the time to post, even if the only place they can air greivances is a place inhabited mostly by fans. I think it's good for the handful of people who take the time to research before purchasing a game to read differing opinions.
For me, GW2 is not quite a complete waste of money, probably just more a waste of time. More than anyone, I've tried to like GW2, but I already know it will not come close to equalling the six years I spent thoroughly enjoying its predecessor.
I'm finding it harder and harder to psyche myself up to play. Today, I only managed to do my daily before logging out. Sadly, I don't know if I will do even that much tomorrow.
