I understand many of you think me a negative person, possibly a troll.

I do like to argue negative points and I believe it is my god given right to do so, I don’t believe any forum should moderate someone for having a negative opinion and to Vayne’s and Centaurs and others credit, they don’t.

I was more excited for GW2 than any game I have ever waited for, and the hype never delivered for me, I still have it, and log on from time to time and see what’s happening and keep my eyes on the updates, same as I do for Diablo 3.

I think the graphics and world detail is second to none in this game, the character selection and races were interesting, and some of the spells were well designed. Giving players the aspect of freedom of the grind was, and is a great idea, for CERTAIN types of players.

I do not have pure hate for the game, I just dislike plenty of it at the moment. A voice I will continue to share, and I will share anything positive on things to come.

I sometimes just can’t help getting into discussions with people who are so narrow minded in regards to certain valid points.

Anyway, just clearing up that I still admire certain parts of the game, and I encourage people to embrace negatives on this site if it is to grow and develop. The feeding frenzy when someone doesn’t like something is so amusing it hurts.

This is an interesting post.

The problem is you are disliking a game that is functioning as intended. This was what the developers put out. There are two types of criticism...constructive criticism and complaining to complain. Let me give you an example of the difference, and consequencely why I have so much problem with your posts.

I don't like raiding. I don't like gear grind. Therefore, I don't play WoW. The game is designed around both. What I don't do is go to the WoW forums and say I don't like gear grind, because obviously it's a key part of the game. It's not going anywhere, whether I like it or not.

It's one thing to constructively criticize a game and another to complain repeatedly about things in a game that anyone who has followed the game knows full well won't be changing.

Anet was relatively clear during the development process of just what the game would be like. Even the demos at cons and the live videos showed more of this game than pretty much any other we've ever seen. In fact, the demo areas of this game at cons was as large as the areas of some games.

Again, there are plenty of flaws in this game, but there are two kinds of flaws. Flaws that Anet never counted on, such as the marketplace not working on launch or the way orbs had to removed from WvW, and so-called flaws which are part of the core development and simply aren't going to go away, no matter what anyone says. The down-scaling is an example of this. It's a core premise in the game and though it might be tweaked, it's not going anywhere.

There is very little about this game that surprised me when it came out. Recently we had a thread on these forums where someone complained about a variety of things that were all true...and anyone who spent two minutes reading about the game would have known they were true. Instead he bought the game blindly, without an ounce of research and decided to complain that the game is working as intended. That criticism is not constructive.

So what you call constructive criticism, I call trying to change the basic nature of the game. Since that's not going to happen, your criticism moves from constructive to just criticism.

And when anyone points it out to you that they're enjoying the game as is, you seem to take this as a personal affront, and can't understand why someone would disagree with you.
