Yes, Ree (I think it was her? memory fails and have no time to research the link) already said those two were lovers, not just good friends.

I'm pretty sure I read the same thing about vaguely romantic themes in some minor areas of your personal story. But I don't think there's any overt mechanic like marriage or anything.

This was taken from a GuildMag interview in september 2011:

GuildMag: Is there any romancing option with NPCs like, for example, those in the Dragon Age series?

Colin: So you won’t actually be able to do something with another character, like with an NPC or such, so there will be no scenes like that. There are NPCs who are love interests with one another. In particular you’re going to run across a lot of NPCs who have stories in the world, who are in love, or you’re trying to help bring them back together, or maybe you try to break them apart, whatever the story may be. There may be characters who come to admire you, maybe characters who you may think that they’re in love with you or not, it’s hard to tell. Those will not play out in scenes where you go on and make out or anything, but yeah, there will definitely be characters who develop relationships with you, and you can interpretate these relationships as you see fit. I think each player will have a different opinion about what that relationship with an NPC is like.

    Sounds like it's imagination time...

I'm going to guess that there are characters in your personal stories to whom you aren't related and who obviously care a lot about you. Whether you interpret that as "we're besties" or "kind of have a thing for each other" will be up to you. Which...honestly, while I play Bioware games and I do sometimes pursue those romances, I think this works for a multiplayer game that'll continue on long after your personal story is done.

Yup, you're absolutely right. Though I see now that my previous statement could imply that I was going to have to use my imagination for an imaginary romance... Which I wasn't. But now I'm being defensive which makes me sound like I am. What to do... Hey, look over there!

Rofl, it's OK. I didn't take it that way.
