Hello!

Kaylian here, from the East Coast of the US. Some friends of mine have a guild on Isle of Jathir and have finally badgered me into getting the game, after spending all day installing and reinstalling Windows (insufficient space allotted to the partition...oy) I finally get to install GW2 and am all excited to get on, only to spend 45 minutes coming up with a password that doesn't make the thing barf all over. Once I get that, I go through the expected email verfication and finally arrive, after nearly 12 hours, at the world list. Excitedly I roll through the list for Isle of Jathir only to find it crammed Full and I am unable to get in. If at any point during this 12 hour period things had worked as they should, I probably could have gotten on. Ah, well.

Still, after all the frustration, teeth grinding and creating new ways to refer to the ancesters of the internet, my connection and various inanimate objects around me, I am glad to be here, even if I am just sitting here glaring at the World list. The site claims transfers are still free, but all postings I've seen state that was just during the first week. Having never played GW before, I wanted to play with my friends so they could keep an eye on me and make sure I figured stuff out before I made myself look like the total GWNOOB I am. I hesitate to make a mess around character in another world, even if I would happily let it be removed once I can actually access Isle of Jathir, because I don't know for sure if it is your account or your character list that is a pain in the lower mandable to move.
