Cant say Im excited about this. What this means is that you will eventually need
an entire new set of gear just to tackle the later content. This reminds me too much
of WOW, in where you needed different resistance sets based on the content. In addition,
it seems the gear you need to attain is just for that concept (ie Agony).
Without getting deeper into this argument, because it would inevitably end up in personal attacks, I'd like to point out that for release purchasers refunds are not an option. Not after all the hours you've used the software. Don't even go into that direction, it's pointless from a legal point of view.
I'm guessing you're a NA player (as am I). I believe the rules in Europe are different and users may have up to 6 months to get a refund regardless. Somebody clarify if you can.

I am actually in Europe. Last I checked Germany is not a federal state of the US.It's not solid law what I quoted, but it's generally accepted that when in doubt, if you use the software for weeks, you're agreeing to its state. And previous advertisments have little to do with the fact that you bought the game, played the game and were happy with it for over a month. Since not even one percent of judges actually knows what an MMO is, they'll say "one month of playtime? That sounds just great for 50 bucks, what are you complaining about?" and honestly, you'll stand there looking rather sheepish about it, too. Because you know asking for refunds NOW is kinda ridiculous. Unless you bought the game a week ago just before the changes were announced or something. That's a different matter.
Well I guess my understanding was wrong; like I said I'm a NA player. I already said I got my money's worth.
I honestly thought both of my posts were constructive but I guess I was wrong. I guess I should stop posting and leave the real intelligent and thought out tidbits like these to you. Feel free to speak for me from now on.
