Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
So the newest Call of Duty was just released today, are you getting it? What about it appeals / doesn't appeal to you?
For me, the game looks pretty sick, apparently they added dedicated servers to the PC version, they launched the game with I believe 4 or 5 maps for Zombies (In contrast to the two Zombie maps for Black Ops) and an extra game mode for Zombies called Grief Mode. Despite what most people say, I tend to watch IGN's reviews, and they claimed this was the best Multiplayer and Campaign so far, and based on the gameplay footage presented in the video, it looks like it could be!
I'm very hopeful for this game, but at the same time I'm a bit disappointed, the PC users get the shaft again. While having dedicated servers is a huge plus, the PS3 and 360 versions have cool features like the ability to Livestream their gameplay from the use of an ingame feature and of course the benefits of COD Elite for free.

Bought the game earlier today on steam, and I must say I'm more than pleasantly surprised. Only been playing campaign so far but, it's been a blast! Especially if you compare it to older cod games.

I haven't bought a CoD game in like 7 years and I don't plan to change that, ever. But the "There's a soldier in all of us" commercial was genius. I lol'd pretty hard.

Well... I had been telling on my CoD friends on the PSN that I would NOT be buying Black Ops II, but that I would play it if I didn't have to pay for it. This is because I'm sick of paying for a broken product (which CoD has become thanks to the fact that the engine has been hacked, and Activision refuses to make a new one, thus all the games have been hacked, and I'm sure even BO2 has been hacked by now, as well).
Anyway, as luck would have it, I won a free copy of the game from an online giveaway fro ma local store here in Utah... so yeah. So I'll be getting my free copy in a few days and will be playing it here or there (but likely only with certain PSN friends, and thus never on my own), allowing it take a back seat to the awesomeness that is GW2, lol.
Its kinda funny really... this is the second year in a row that I have won CoD prizes... last year I won a free ticket to CoD Elite XP in LA, but since I couldn't go, I sold it online from like $80 (it was $150 ticket, but still), which paid for my copy of MW3 plus some.
So yeah! Seems I have lots of luck when it comes to CoD giveaways.

Heh... I worked at Blockbuster when MW2 came out, and I ran our midnight release party (as well as two in store tournaments for CoD4 and World at War leading up to its release), and then was given the next two days off to play (as was another employee), though such was never asked for, as our manager just assumed we'd want it, lol.
