To the OP, here are my opinions:

1.(security and guesting) As long as ANet isn't flat out ignoring the issue or selling your info, security is your responsibility. Just make a password that's complicated and that you don't use elsewhere and you'll never be hacked. About guesting, you can still guild together and do dungeons together... so I don't see the problem. You want to run around and do hearts together...?

    2. (dyes should be account wide) Can't argue there. It bugs me too.

    3. (DPS and healing roles) Totally disagree. I've lead many dungeon runs, and I never pay attention to what classes people bring. If someone does care, that's their problem. Run a dungeon with 5 Elementalists, or 5 Guardians, you'll be fine.

    4. (need LFG tool) Totally disagree here too. Don't sit in LA, sit in the zone of the dungeon. I've never spent more than 20 minutes forming a group and I've done dozens of dungeons. Don't expect it to work out at 2 pm on a Tuesday either.

    5. (stories too similar) I actually agree here. All the stories are the same, even across races and classes, save for the first few missions that correspond to your choices. Even the three factions are essentially the same after the first few missions.

    6. (broken promise about grinding) Ok, so they changed their mind it seems, and you're right to object to that. However, I'm very glad they did. It's not that I like grinding, it's that getting a sweet piece of loot for every dungeon run would make this game more appropriate for my 9-year old than for me. Over-rewarding makes the reward meaningless.

    7. (we have a gear treadmill) I wouldn't say adding a new quality means we now have a gear treadmill. In WoW, a new raid was added every six months and the new one always had gear better than the previous one, which to me IS a gear treadmill. Saying "we need something to fill in the gap between exotic, which is fairly easy, and legendary, which is insanely difficult" is just a fix, perhaps making a treadmill that has an end to it, if you will. On the other hand, if they do this again, and again, and again, then they add a new dungeon with more epic gearz and soforth, that's a treadmill. Only time will tell.

    8. (lower-level zones irrelevant) All zones are beneficial until you're 80. Yes if you are level 50 and you want to level in Caledon Forest, it's slower than something at your level, but you're still making progress. This is perfect. It wouldn't be fair if it were exactly as good, and it would suck if it were worth nothing. As for being 80, it depends on what you're grinding. If you want tiny totems to level a craft you just started, Orr isn't going to help you. Of course most 80s are in Orr because it offers what level 80s TYPICALLY want most. Why is this a bad thing?

    9. (no throwaway craft items) Just plain wrong. I sold most of what I crafted while levelling LWing, as it was all magical and had good stats on it. This is because of their design.

***(Gem prices) This is a two sided coin. The fact that gems are worth more gold is great news for someone transferring gems into gold, bad news for someone trading gold into gems. I don't see the problem.

I have, numerous times. One horrid-sounding group was spamming map for Arah dungeon once, they needed one more and I wanted to run it. I was asked to link my gear and any tokens I had from Arah to prove I had done it before. I linked him 4/6 pieces of the Arah armor and my literally rare Exotic weapons, then declined his invitation to the party and told him to go **** himself.

    lol

Another favourite is to link them my gear, then ask to see theirs, then tell them it's not up to my standards when they do. Bit like asking the cashier to show me their ID when I'm buying alcohol.

*WoD* We all worried about and discussed this in the early days prior to launch I said my little piece and others said theirs now the realization that it will conform to the larger shouting of "I want" or we wont buy your next XXX is what will happen no matter what we want its about what drives the money belt and profits. I have all 400 crafts the single thing I enjoy most however I feel stuck at craft even at 400 it does not feel as I thought it would, I have what classes to 80 I wished to play and will give away to my guild their craft needs (minus mats :P). So yes it will go the way of WoW in an Anet way, as far as the Mods deleting post I feel that is suppression of (USA) freedom of speech rights which gets my (old) goat, I wonder if they understand the vast majority really wants and what happened to what they said, was it a lie? For that I may not buy anymore product from Anet but will keep the game and continue to play off and on. It was a good feeling in the beginning that now feels like a dried up sneaker or Army boots after a soaking of 60 days in a Louisiana swamp and then dipped in cow manure.

THEY said it's designed as a bridge from fairly easy to get exotics to VERY hard to obtain legengary...so they will be harder to get than lexotics, in a very specific effort to give certain players something to work for in the meanwhile. If it was easy to get, then it doesn't do the job they want it to do.

That's why it doesn't make sense if they are easy to get or if this is a one time thing. At least if you're going to introduce gear/stat creep, then go all in and at least keep the Skinner box people if you're not going to keep the originally intended audience.
And if it's available for gold on the marketplace it's not a grind for me, since I can get gold doing anything. Some people will grind those out and some people will just buy them, which isn't a grind to me.

It was like ectos and obby shards in the original guild wars. I never once farmed them. But I got them...without grinding.

I love this game! But here are my issues:

    1. The lore needs some work. It's a bit weak.
    2. There needs to be about ten times as many emotes.
    3. End game crafted gear should be soulbound or otherwise not purchasable from the TP.
    4. You should be able to easily compare achievements with other players.

Why should end game crafted gear be soul bound? I don't get this at all.

Crafting level 80 exotic (end-game) gear takes a lot of work. You have to level your craft to 400, buy the insignia recipes, and then gather a ton of materials to craft the insignias and the gear components and throw it all together. I did it with my engineer. When I found though, that each of those pieces can be bought off the trading post for a few gold, I realized all that work was pointless. Why bother with all that when you can just grind out the gold in Orr and buy it?

If I'm going to put the effort in to fully level my craft, I want the reward to be exclusive. I wouldn't expect someone who has bothered to gather enough tokens to have a full exotic set from an explorable dungeon to be thrilled if his/her set could just be purchased off the TP either. By the same token, I am not bitter about the fact that I can't just buy a dungeon set if I want it. So I am seeing this from both sides. Whatever route you take to get your level 80 exotics, you should get something that only those who have done the same can get.

Hlindegar, you have to keep in mind that the main purpose of crafting isn't so you can craft stuff to keep yourself. The main reason why crafting exists in games is to provide items for other people and to provide something that you can trade with other people for. Making it account bound defeats that purpose.
