To the OP, here are my opinions:
1.(security and guesting) As long as ANet isn't flat out ignoring the issue or selling your info, security is your responsibility. Just make a password that's complicated and that you don't use elsewhere and you'll never be hacked. About guesting, you can still guild together and do dungeons together... so I don't see the problem. You want to run around and do hearts together...?
2. (dyes should be account wide) Can't argue there. It bugs me too.
3. (DPS and healing roles) Totally disagree. I've lead many dungeon runs, and I never pay attention to what classes people bring. If someone does care, that's their problem. Run a dungeon with 5 Elementalists, or 5 Guardians, you'll be fine.
4. (need LFG tool) Totally disagree here too. Don't sit in LA, sit in the zone of the dungeon. I've never spent more than 20 minutes forming a group and I've done dozens of dungeons. Don't expect it to work out at 2 pm on a Tuesday either.
5. (stories too similar) I actually agree here. All the stories are the same, even across races and classes, save for the first few missions that correspond to your choices. Even the three factions are essentially the same after the first few missions.
6. (broken promise about grinding) Ok, so they changed their mind it seems, and you're right to object to that. However, I'm very glad they did. It's not that I like grinding, it's that getting a sweet piece of loot for every dungeon run would make this game more appropriate for my 9-year old than for me. Over-rewarding makes the reward meaningless.
7. (we have a gear treadmill) I wouldn't say adding a new quality means we now have a gear treadmill. In WoW, a new raid was added every six months and the new one always had gear better than the previous one, which to me IS a gear treadmill. Saying "we need something to fill in the gap between exotic, which is fairly easy, and legendary, which is insanely difficult" is just a fix, perhaps making a treadmill that has an end to it, if you will. On the other hand, if they do this again, and again, and again, then they add a new dungeon with more epic gearz and soforth, that's a treadmill. Only time will tell.
8. (lower-level zones irrelevant) All zones are beneficial until you're 80. Yes if you are level 50 and you want to level in Caledon Forest, it's slower than something at your level, but you're still making progress. This is perfect. It wouldn't be fair if it were exactly as good, and it would suck if it were worth nothing. As for being 80, it depends on what you're grinding. If you want tiny totems to level a craft you just started, Orr isn't going to help you. Of course most 80s are in Orr because it offers what level 80s TYPICALLY want most. Why is this a bad thing?
9. (no throwaway craft items) Just plain wrong. I sold most of what I crafted while levelling LWing, as it was all magical and had good stats on it. This is because of their design.
***(Gem prices) This is a two sided coin. The fact that gems are worth more gold is great news for someone transferring gems into gold, bad news for someone trading gold into gems. I don't see the problem.
