I have been lurking in the thread for a while (Since page 1) and have not had the mind to comment on anything. (I really can't post long walls of texts) but I gotta say people have the right to be "Scared and Disappointed" of the game. I also got the feeling that GW2 is going towards the generic "Grind till you drop" MMO. But I also tried to think the game from the views of my own ideology. "Play only if it's fun" and if people can continue having fun even when the game changes it's still a good game, and if people stop having fun, I see no point in playing.
Example: My guild broke under me because of multiple reasons I quit GW2 for a while to "Collect my deck" so to say. And for what I have seen. GW2 can still have a chance long as they do not take deeper steps into this river what people could call. "Generic MMO"
We all played GW2 before it became cool... Right?
And also when I read some of the new patch notes this was me:

IS Vayne on AN payroll or do they just have incriminating pictures of him and that kangaroo that they will release if he sayd anything bad about them? Is Ruse, the second best ele on this site, really my evil doppledanger? (doppledangers are required to be evil you know) Whats the last time a kitten has brought you a message? Will AN get slaughtered when Elder Scrolls online comes out? Will both of my guilds (250 ish people) leave when they inrtoduce one more level?

I'd love to be on Anet's payroll. Almost like a dream come true, working for a game developer.
All joking aside, if you were in my place, you might feel the same. I've always liked the idea of MMOs, but I've never found a single MMO I could stomach for any length of time. I saw the potential. Finally an MMO that I can play comes out. It's hands above any MMO I've played--for my style of play. It's what I'm personally looking for.
The changes as outlined don't affect me personally at all. I'm not going to grind ever. I don't farm either. These things aren't going to happen. And since I don't really care whether I have the very top stats as long as I can clear content, I'm quite satisifed...partly because there's nothing else and partly because I'm still having a ball.
The only thing that's changed for me since before the patch is that I have a new dungeon to play around in, that's more fun for me than any of the previous dungeons. Should I complain about that? I can see all the content on the first difficulty and not grind it. Others are free to grind it, and go deeper. Not my scene, but I'm sure others will love it. So for now, at this time, there is no downside.
Will Anet go and make this a gear grind game? I don't really see it happening. I still say people are smelling almonds and assuming cyanide.
But since I'm having even more fun today than I was a week ago, nothing has really changed for me. There will be time, if further changes come along that I don't like, to get all stressed and upset.

I know for a fact that's a lie. There're no Kangaroo in Kiwi land. Kiwi I believe but not Wallabies.

Except Tasmania isn't New Zealand, it's Australia and there are indeed wallabies, and indeed pademelons.
