They added a clause to their ToS that stated they were region locking the game and would ban any foreign players who log in. But they're not actually doing that.

What happened was; when the game first launched people from all over the world used translators register for the game, which ended up overloading the servers since the Devs didn't expect such a massive amount of people to be playing. A lot of foreign players are also assholes. They started to hack the game and mess with it. Moving NPC's like shops and mission givers to places they couldn't be reached.

As long as you don't do anything bad, they don't actually care. However unless you have a Japanese credit card / paypall account, you can't use their cash shop anymore.

The english version isn't coming out until sometime in 2013. Speculated early in the year.

I have a Naga too, but holding down a mouse button and seeing an ability is a deal breaker, uninstalled the game immediately after playing since keyboard turning is trash that doesn't move in all degrees like an X-Box analog pad or mouse. This was when I was looking for a SWTOR alternative after quitting that after a few months of playing.

Ah well. I won't be playing this until they release a US version anyway.

I guess I'll have to wait until 2013 then. heheh Hopefully it won't be too far into the year. After all, 2013 is just about a month and a half away.

Right now I'm on a break from GW2 because of being mad (like a little kid who doesn't get what she wants lol) about missing all the OTEs that this game has put out so far. I'm sure I'll be back playing in a couple days though, as I do miss it. But it would be nice to have a second game to play for when you just want a small break. And PSO2 does look like a fun game.

Yeaah the only thing I'm worried about is the lack of content. The level cap has been increased several times as well as the playable zones and "Very Hard" difficulty, not to mention shiny rare items. If the American version releases without all these I dunno if I'll bother playing because I'll be like 6 months ahead already. Or I could just raise my level cap on American servers and wait. Since there's no point in farming for rares that will get replaced in months. Heh.

    We shall seeee!

Edit: In case anyone was wondering, the english patch was updated a while ago and is working in the live version.

How do I play it with the English patch? I mean, I'd love to just jump in and play it now, but my Japanese is a bit rusty. hahah

I'm treating this as a beta since I don't want to make so much progress only to have it wiped out (well, it wouldn't technically be, but I'd simply jump to the English game's version). The cash shop outfits also look like they're going to be interesting, maybe they can eventually have outfits inspired by the classic games or even have references to other series such as Sonic's red shoes?

Since Beta ended, we've gotten Desert, Tundra, Mines, weird floating island place, ruins, challenge map, hard mode, and very hard mode. As well as 3 new classes / subclasses 10star items and rare bosses with super rare items (not just superpowered bosses).

If the English version releases and it's exactly where Beta was when it ended with only Forest+Caves. I'm not gonna bother. That's A LOT of content that I don't want to wait for. And a lot of items that I already know will be outdated as content releases since they update this bad boy pretty frequently.

Oy! I think I'll just wait until the English released version. heh Thank you though. I'd rather do it all nice and "official".
