I'm sad my mesmer's izerker got hit with the nerf bat. The portal nerf is hardly a nerf at all. I believe it was mostly for sPvP to prevent mesmers from holding more than one spot at a time. It doesn't affect WvW at all. I haven't tried out the new Moa morph spell yet. I'm not sure how the new healing limit to 5 is going to affect my banner warrior. If I drop down 3 banners in various areas during a fight, do I heal 15 people or only 5?
I wish they had fixed the thief culling issue in WvW.
Well the armor thing doesn't bother me at all. I'm like, meh. I might collect it, I might not. For the majority of stuff you do in the game you don't even need exotic gear. And the Ascended stuff is mostly for Fractals anyway. Something new to do after I get my Legendary weapons for sure.
I play a mesmer in WvW and a banner support warrior in Dungeons. I also have a Ranger but I don't play her very much. So I guess that's why my comments weren't inclusive of the entire patch.
Well actually I have 2 complaints. 1. Soooo much lag during the event in Lion's Arch I'm surprised I didn't die. And 2. That Asuran in front of the fractals entrance....
I promised not to get my knickers in a twist about this...takes a deep breath. The fiddling around with my favourite Elementalist trait pissed me off no end. There are lots of problems with this class which i wont go into cause i'm confident that eventually the creases will be ironed out, and i'm not one to moan a lot about pixels.
The Elementalist is a wonderful , complicated class to play. You can stand and spam skills if you want , or you can really mess around with the bits and pieces, which make it so interesting for me. Cancelling blast finishers on Evasive Arcana, no matter if it was unintentional, makes the class loose a layer, in my opinion.
Lol Tabbycat, I you. Out of all the changes and controversy surrounding this patch, you're still thinkin' about Mesmers.
It's hard not to when now I try to summon my highest damaging phantasm on a mob next to me and it doesn't work at all, and then the few times it does work you realize the damage was magically reduced from 7k-10k to 500-2k.
The Portal nerf is just annoying for jumping puzzles. One annoying thing with the added time though, is that if you don't set an exit portal within the time limit you now have a 30s cooldown instead of the skill just resetting.
Having been playing today after the patch, the one thing i seem to have noticed, have they upgraded the hair animation on the characters, it is seeming a lot more fluid. And yes, I do tend to notice the pointless things.
