Be wary... the PS2 ones were absolutely NOTHING like the real Baldur's Gate games.

That's to bad. Was the difference in gameplay or just story? I actually really enjoyed both but if either are similar I could probably get into the PC version. Hell, I might just set up my PS2 until the PC one comes out and play that again.

Apparently the same company also plans to do a BG2 overhaul as well, tentatively planned for 2013 release. I expect it will be later than that, though.

"Someone" probably recommended it but Phantasy Star Online 2 is fun so far. It's not out in English yet officially but make sure you buy an X-Box controller for it! I'm partial to the Logitech one due to its analog stick layout, but the Microsoft ones (which are more expensive) look good too and are wireless. Razer Onza looks great too, but I ultimately settled on Logitech personally.

Yes... just avoid Chrono Cross likes its the plague.

OMG this! I actually played Chrono Cross first. I didn't care too much for the gameplay, but liked the alternative endings, UFO summon, large character selection (now that I'm older it seems... bloated), and... Riddel

Anyway, I liked Chrono Trigger much more and played it when I got the Final Fantasy IV/Chrono Trigger pack for Playstation. Chrono Cross just... seemed like a mess, storywise and gameplay wise and came across as gimmicky when it tried being innovative.

OMG OMG Phantasy Star Online 2! It has an item mall but everything in it are vanity items.

Anyway, WoW is an action RPG, true RPGs are dead =( Only MMO worthy of being called a true RPG I have played is Wonderland Online, but that game is hardcore pay to win. You either have to grind for gold countless hours (not a problem since the game's manufacturing system is awesome where you can make your own vehicles, fuel, and HP food) to purchase item mall stuff other players sell, or just pay the absurd amounts of real life money for them. Yes, you'll need over $200.00 for a fully upgraded item mall sword to have 48% crit. Also, the game is a serious grindfest with alchemy leveling (enhances RNG chances for better weapons and armor via alchemy).

The game does have an in-game bot, because you'll need it to level and exploit bursting to obtain level 180 very quickly on all your alts simultaneously.

The differences were in both, really.

The story is broader and told with more depth on the PC, while the gameplay is significantly different. The same basic ideas apply, but its more like a high camera MMO play type than a typical action game, which the PS2 games were made into... you can bring the camera down, but its still a top down play type. Everything was more detailed in the PC games, really... story, gameplay, characters... but even so, it was still fun, and imo actually better. The PS2 games were just small side notes to the grand BG saga.

I would say give it a try, just be aware that its not the same beast as the PS2 games.

Oh, nice! Now I'm all excited. I'm definitely gonna have to get both of these then.

I like Chrono Cross. It has excellent music, and wonderful remixes.

If good music were enough to play a game, I think Guitar Hero would still be around.

The action side of it might not be exactly what I'm looking for but I'll probably still check it out. Any game that was made back when the story and content were more important than just flashy graphics is always worth a look.
