I haven't combed the thread to see if this was mentioned, but something it does very wrong is randomize your reward for running paths 2/4 etc. While some of our group got 40 tokens, one got 0 the first time around. Then the second time, when most of us got at least 20 if not another 40, he got 0 again. How a "bag of gold" is equal to 20 mist tokens, when the "gold" inside is 2-5 silver I will never understand. I could see randomizing one of these slots so you might get 20 and might get 40, but to randomize both of them? If you don't get bonus tokens it would take 270 fractals to get one of the new back pieces, that seems a bit excessive.
Other than screwy rewards, and Armageddon gear not using any new skins despite having a cool name, the dungeon is fairly entertaining. However when one person is awarded 70 tokens for hours of gaming while others get 150, something seems very off to me. I can only imagine the fallout if they had done this in standard dungeons from the begining. "Yeah, we know you schlepped through a dungeon with a PUG and they all got tokens, but screw you, you'll take less silver than it takes to repair your armor and like it". And the fact that all of the Exotic drops in the dungeon are soulbound on acquire is rather frustrating. Much like the superior runes from other dungeons, some of these items cannot be used (or in the case of runes, useful) to the character that picks them up. A Guardian got an exotic dagger with a nice skin, would have been great if he could have transferred it over to his thief.
If you play with the philosophy that new content is its own reward the Fractals of the Mists is fine, but the strange nature of the rewards you get is something I hope changes quickly.
lol so the "Raving Asura" boss totally copied WoW with one of it's mechanics. The boss gives people a Negative charge and Positive charge randomly. Allies with the same charge buff eachothers damage and opposite charges hurt eachother.
It's TOTALLY a Thaddius ripoff. The entire fight isn't, just that one mechanic. Not that I'm saying this is turning into a WoW clone buuuuutt... Item progression, gated "difficulties" of content, and now WoW mechanics.
I don't know whats causing it but most of the people I invited for the weekend are having the disconnection issues. 5 out of 5 say this free weekend is one of the worst times they have ever had in a game. Hard to recruit my friends into the game during a FREE EVENT weekend when the event doesn't work at all and the devs/mods are like "yeah, whatever.. sorry".
