Looks like it should be able run it just fine. This is what I have, and it never has any problems.

It actually came with a 610, but even a 520 is more than powerful enough for GW2.

Ok and i guess you get 60+ FPS all the time on max settings. As a 520 is not even near a gaming card it will do good to watch movies.

GW2 requires a whopping GF 7800... a GT 520 is a huge jump ahead of that.

Its not the best on the market, no where close, but its more than enough to play GW2, and that's what the OP is looking for, a PC that can run GW2. The one I linked to is the one I have, and like I said, it came wit ha 610 rather than the 520 listed, anyway, and yes, GW2 runs on it at 60 fps all the time with the graphics settings all set to max. The only time I've ever had a problem with it is during the events this past weekend, but then EVERYONE was having lag issues this weekend because there were just too many people around for the events.

GW2 is not a very intensive game, nor are most MMO's... would you want this computer to play a high intensity online FPS like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? Probably not, but that's not whats being asked about here. This guy, like I was just a month ago, is looking for a cheap computer that can play GW2. The one I got (and linked to here) is a mid-range gamer, and its working great for GW2. And that's the point. I'm sure that your PC is a great and magnificent gaming beast, but that's not what the OP here wants to get, so all of your preferences and almighty specs that make you come off as an elitist PC gamer putting down a graphics card that is more than capable of playing the game in question is completely beside the point.

There's a fine line between helping a person (like you have above) and being a jerk.
There's no need to go out of your away to attack another person's suggestions.

your build is pretty spot on, I would hunt for slightly better prices to squeeze in a slightly better gfx card.
Consider a 650Ti or HD 7770 instead of the 550Ti.
Bring the price of the hard drive and motherboard down some by selecting Seagate HDD and miniATX mobo.

Shoot for an i3-3220 as last slight tweak. May put you around $650

Didn't catch if you require an Operating System but here is a build I'd recommend. Quad core i5. 7850 beats out the 650Ti handily.

Edit: Hard Drive price was not showing originally.

He already has his mouse keyboard and monitor from the old system he had that blew up. I have another copy of windows 7 I am giving him. The 550Ti should run things just fine sense my 260GTX can run the game on low with 40 fps at all times. As for video cards I have always had trouble with every Radeon I have ever owned in a system as for nVida cards I have yet to have one issue.
All he is wanting the computer for is GW2 on med settings and private vanilla WoW. Other then that he will just be browsing the internet and maybe watching movies on it but usually he does everything else from his xbox which is hooked up to his 3D HD Projector.
