Lightbulb Whiteside Ridge, Players wanted for exciting group project!

Hi there! My name is Bedroc (well that is my alts name), and I play on Whiteside ridge.

I'm looking to do find 4 players to do an interesting project.

    Idea:
To create 5 new characters, same race and starting city, with perfectly matching professions. Level to 80 together, clearing dungeons as we reach them.

    Goal:
To have fun and chat, while leveling another character.
To level together to lvl 80.
To create a solid well performing team that can take on any content.

    Possible additional goals:
    100% map completion
    Complete all dungeons
    Do all boss monsters.
Perhaps the start of a friendship?

    Server
    Whiteside Ridge

    Races:
I don't want to do Norn or Human as I have chars of those races, so any of the other 3 is fine.

    Faction:
Id like us to do Order of the whisper. ( so we can do the storyline together). We could do different if you feel strongly about it.

    Group
We should pick different professions so we complement each other. I have warrior and mesmer so id like something other than that. We should research optimal group a bit.

    Schedule:
We can discuss this of course, but i was thinking along these lines:
We play 3 evening a week ( say 20.00-24.00 CET). The goal is to get say 8-10 levels a week.
We can play solo between that, and we should if we dont reach the lvl goal for the week. (but 8-10 levels should be easy)

    Applicants:
English speaking sociable and fun ppl that likes to chat and to play very well.
should be fairly ambitious, strive for excellence when playing.
You should be able to stay for the entire project ( till we reach lvl 80)

    Who am I:
I am a 40yo swede with a high education, job and family. I love playing this game and love to chat, debate and to have fun.

do you like the idea? post here if you think this would suit me, or send me an email

If you REALLY want to make it an exciting project, why not try 5 characters with identical professions... for example 5 thieves or 5 rangers. It will add to the challenge, and if each person in the group uses different specs on their character, it will show you how versatile the profession really is.
Plus, you could attract quite a bit of attention...

I think he is and just worded it differently (called them classes). I'd love to keep track of your progress if any of you are going to stream/blog anything. Sounds like a cool idea, if I had more time I might be more inclined to join you.

I get your point and it would attract more attention. I wanted the group to be the very best it can be though, so we can take down hard content better than most, and to do that we need to make best use of the professions.

To get more attention we could make the characters of the same sex and similar look, and choose the same color scheme, so it shows we are an elite team!
    that could be cool.

@Stonesolid: guess you missed the "We should pick different professions so we complement each other." in his original post

@bedroc: well, whatever you decide, good luck with this project.

I totally did miss it until after the fact but I didn't want to edit my post. I don't mind being wrong every now and again.

(Sometimes I'm stupid or blind or something. lol)

Not a problem. To err is human (and I have to admit, even centaurs make mistakes sometimes )

OP, I hope you understand there will be NO best group for all content. A mesmer, warrior, ele, guardian, enginner might be a good dungeon group. 5 thiefs would be a great roaming WvW party with all the stealth and burst and escapability. But 5 thieves wouldt be as optional in a dungeon lets say as the first group. and so on and so forth.

If you want to do ALL the content, the best group is probably one with a mix of skills so you have the tools to tackle it all. Other than a mesmer, there is probably not a class you have to have. (portals are just very useful for jumping puzzles and anything timed and WvW) Just realize that though you'll be a group that can handle all content, you'll probably not be THE optimal group for each specific content you're doing.

Oh man I thought you dropped the ball on a golden opportunity to go "To err is human, to forgive centaur."
