Thread: So how many are still playing??

So how many are still playing??

Wonder what the current numbers are of people still playing lots compared to its first release. I am sure there has been a drop off, just wonder how many??

With the recent release of the latest call of duty, and its unbelievable sales, how many have stayed and how many have left??

You'd have to ask Anet. But I don't know of any game that has released actual numbers of their active players, though. We usually only get Sales numbers, subscription numbers (for subscription based games), and that sort of thing.

No idea, but I see people in every single zone I'm in, and I've been in a lot of them. And then when the game came out, people played A LOT. Now some log in a few times a week, but not every day. It's individual.

I'd say that there's some left and some have come on. Let's not forget they just had a friends weekend and they're sure to have gotten at least a few sales from that too.

Don't really like the Call of Duty style games. Another game that leads you around by the hand in sp. I don't really do online shooters either so yeah, I am still playing, between assignments anyhow.

I'm still here! I found a new guild recently which has some very active and cool people in it which helps a lot. Though last night I got 100% on Malchor's Leap with my Warrior and saw only 2-3 people. Quite sad seeing the "Push Malchor the Scultpure" quest just sitting there, thinking of the fun I had when I first got to 80 and there'd be a huge crowd pushing him up to the statue of Dwayna. Didn't see one person talk in /map at all. I suspect lots of people are just doing other things, playing other games, when they've done their dailies and played for an hour or two.

Remember also, there are people in the new level 80 zone. That changes the balance a lot too. Before you only had Orr and Frostgorge, but now that you have a new zone, you can expect people will be checking it out.

Had no idea we had a new zone. I still play some, not as much as I used to. Still enjoy the game, and its always there.

Um where is the new level 80 zone??

Where did you hide to miss the whole news about the Lost Shores?

As for the originial question: I am still playing daily, but usually just long enough to get the daily achievement and maybe work a bit more towards one of the personal stories.
Long sessions of multiple hours are mostly reserved for the weekend or free days.

It's a pretty hard zone if you try to solo it, you're better off with a group. It has new crafting mats there too, passion fruit, karka shells and passion flowers...I think for the last one anyway.

You can get there from the docks in LA by talking to an NPC with a boat over their head. The new zone is an island in the Sea of Sorrows.

I haven't played since the 13th. Hopefully Chris Whiteside has some good news in his Q&A on monday that will get me playing again. I miss the game but I can't bring myself to support it even in numbers at the moment.
