I'm still playing. Sadly, most of the friends who came with me aren't.
We'll see if their move with the new equipment tier and dungeon will rejuvenate the game or just drive those away that aren't comfortable with a new gear tier.

    New gear tier ???

Wow... I'm so out of the loop.

I haven't logged my lvl 80 Elementalist on since the end of the Halloween event (which wasn't that long ago) and to be honest, I'm not feeling a pressing need or urge to get back in again. People just move on I guess. Right now Ive started playing another MMO again that I had grown sick of and had actually left for this game. But with a new expansion released more catered towards PVP and all that... sometimes it's just so hard to let go.

Myself, Simply never found a guild I was happy with. Running the level 80 zones solo is no fun. So I just kinda gave up. Will log on and work on my thief toon once in awhile, but its getting more rare. Guess like someone else said, People move on.

And I think this is the main issue right now, very few "active" guilds. I joined a guild and every night we may have 2-5 people on and it is hard to accomplish anything. I really right now I am very disapointed because is very hard to run Orr solo. I want t finish stuff but it is like "meh". I used to play RIFT solo, WoW solo, LOTRO solo and it was fun.

I love GW2 but is getting very hard because I think A-NET needs to expand new areas for other levels not only level 80 new areas.

Answer to OP - Not a great deal.

Answer to OP - Every day.

If i didn't have a very silly guild though, it would be a different matter. Lower zones are very empty, i know this cause i do my mat runs without seeing a soul.

Last night around 20 of the guild made low lvl Asuras, dyed ourselves pink, and went zerging round WvWvW causing a general panic among the enemy, distracting them. Whilst i wouldn't reccomend this to everyone, it's the kind of thing that makes me giggle, and if i giggle every now and again, i'm happy.

I'm playing every day, as is most of my guild. We're a small guild though so there are usually only between 10 and 20 people on during peak hours.

That reminds me of the good ol' days in EQ when we'd have gnome races. I might have to talk my guild into doing something similar, that sounds like a blast!

I don't know the actual numbers, and none of us do, but I'd bet more are playing now then a few weeks ago. The Lost Shores patch has vastly improved the game in many ways, and the new content is the best stuff there is. Some people complain in this forum and many complained on the official forum, but the forum doesn't represent most people, in fact it tends to attract complainers. I'd say for the most part people are very happy with the changes; every one of the RL people I know who play love it.

Having that said, the game (I'd guess) is growing and will continue to do so for a while.
