Thread: So how many are still playing??

  1. #21
I play everyday, my wife too. Less alt-aholic than before. Still impressed by the quantity of people in different zones. People call out every events in map chat, etc. Unfortunately, the guild i'm in is a ghost town now... And the only RL friend who played didn't log-in during the last month.

I saw alot more people when the Halloween event came out, and i'm afraid they'll leave after the Lost Shore event last weekend lol...

I'm still playing regularly, though I admit that I've taken some time to play LEGO: Lord of the Rings with the kids. Great game and lots of fun if you're a LOTR fan. Otherwise, I'm still keeping up with my alts. I've decided to take a wait and see attitude regarding the whole ascended gear/gear grind controversy. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with for December, too.

After trying two different times to get a skill point doing it solo, Had to give up. Guess thats my issue with the game. Fewer people in maps = less help with somethings.

How nice would it be if every town you could hire for a very reasonable cost, or even free someone to help. Not a real person, but something on the lines of the rangers pet, or a warrior or whatever. IMHO, think the game would be more fun and less frustrating. Just something to help when you can not find the help.

Kiiiind of a different target audience there. Obviously there's going to be some cross over, but it's not like they're competing titles or anything. A lot of the people that play CoD don't play MMO's, or RPGs in general.

I still play everyday. Gotta keep up with the farming and WvW.

Got my new backpack tonight thanks to my guild.

Transmuted the fiery Mad Memoirs one onto it. lol

I consider myself lucky. If i quit playing it toady, never picked it up again, IMHO, I got my money's worth. Lots of fun, Lots of hours. Always new games coming around I wanna check out. Only so much time in the day to play. Just purchased a new game, between it and GW2, think thats gonna be my limit this winter.

So please don't let me come off like I am upset, or wanna rage quit. I have gotten more enjoyment and more hours out of this game than any other game I can think of. Great Bang for the buck.

I am sure most gamers are like me, many times paid decent money for a game, that ended up on the shelf and only played a few times.

I am still playing, call of duty holds no interest for me, not my type of game.

I probably only play slightly less then when I first bought the game, but when I am working I can't play at all, so never suffer from burnout. Playing GW2 is always a treat, except when logging on at 2000 gmt 3 days in a row for the Lost Shores event, when it became as frustrating as hell. But thats my only real negative experience with GW2 so far.

Peak times in Europe are Mon-Fri 1800 gmt to 2200 gmt and weekend, with Sun evening always the weekly peak for players online (same as ANY game), plenty of people around in most zones during those times.

Log in during the morning/afternoon and you will rarely see anyone!

You figure out the good times to do solo vs group content...

I play everyday for a couple of hours. It would be longer but I have other commitments. At this stage, I'm still enjoying the game immensely and can't wait until tonight when I should ding 80. Given that I'm only at 57% map completed, I still have tons to experience; I've never PvP'd, dungeoneered or WvWvW'd and probably never will. I do want to do some TSing at some point though.

And then I need to do the whole thing again on my other toons

You supported it when you first bought it, so it really doesn't matter if you protest against the new changes. Personally, I like em
