Constant events like the lost shores are great, did you see how many people appeared for that event, they just need to keep it under control, no lag, no dcs, for the mass playerbase that for me will make me want to play more, if it's the events which people turn up for, find the things which make people play, and do more of it, much more. and refine it.

I would run more dungeons if the end gear looked awesome. I currently dont really care for most for my engi, except CoE. I like it for some reason. The level of difficulty of them right now is fine by me, but i haven't ran too many as i only have about 3 hours to run them 1 night a week. AC, TA and CM.

Adding a new area would be a mild seditive, but would be still welcomed openly. I do like exploring and seeing new areas. Im living for new weapons skins right now as currently im not super happy with most pistol skins (im looking at you pearl handcannon) I have seen, but i also understand that making a pistol look amazing could be hard. right now im using charr T2.

WvW really can't be improved upon, bc what would make it better for me, would hurt my chances to play with my friends. I'm just tired of zergs. thats really it. it's rare to see squads of people, (10 or less) doing some damage. and if there is, its usually ppl trying to get back to the zerg.

I would like to see more town clothes. That would aid in my longevity. More festival world events would be nice as well. usually giving off some sort of rare item thats purely cosmetic or a container piece. nothing game changing so that if someone misses the event, they aren't punished for it. For those that are there for the full event, give them some event only skin thats droppable. Monthly Keg ball tourny. Prize is a shiny crown next to your name for the month. then you have to either defend you title at the next tourny, or forfit it. Turn that Bobsled run in Hoelbrak into something usable. let us ride the sled!

thats all i can really think of right now, but im playing the game right now bc i am enjoying the leveling (minus my mesmer as i am power leveling her just to see how fast i can do it and to get a weaponsmith up to level)

    Edited for stupidity.

Ummm Yeah, that's very unreasonable. It takes SO MUCH WORK to create, plan, and code for events like that. Even monthly sub fee games don't do "constant events". Asking any game, let alone one that doesn't even have a monthly fee, to do "constant events" is completely unreasonable.

Right now I'm impressed with the fact they've done it once a month so far. Though I personally hate the One Time Events (because I'm never able to make it on to enjoy them right at that exact time), I do think it's wonderful that they have been able to create something fresh and new so far every month for us. That's more than most people get with a new MMO, let alone one without a monthly fee. Expecting a game company to be able to do constant events, and "do more of it, much more" that's irrational and totally unreasonable.

More SPvP battlegrounds, more armour options, more town clothes and a way to change my character's appearance.

^This would help a lot. Like it or not, many people are all about the looks. I, personally, would love more cool skins to go after. Particularly for leather wearers whom, to me, have a pretty limited option of "cool looking" gear. Hell, to me it would be cool if there where dungeons or something that gave you tokens to spend at a "barber" where you can change the look and hair style of your character. lol Sounds silly, but I think a lot of people would enjoy that too.

Most games don't launch with as many clothing/armor options as Guild Wars 2 did, though. Anyone who was there for the Rift launch would understand. lol

Yes, more of this stuff is needed and Anet has hired new artists to create it. It'll come, but it all takes time.

Oh well sorry for giving a small suggestion.. jeez, i know they can't do them constantly, what im saying is i like the rate in which they are doing it, with halloween and the lost shores, i just think they should refine the events, because if lost shores wasnt repetitive or gave DC's and lag to pretty much everyone playing during it, it would be very fun.

Ok i shouldn't have said MUCH MORE, my bad.. but i just think if they refine and improve the events in line with the lore also it would be much more enjoyable.

And bringing monthly fee's into it isnt relevant to me, they are making lots of money in game bought items, and the fairly high price tag for the game initially.

And yes, the it's good that events happen every month which are fresh etc. but this game is built around dynamic events and large scale events unlike other mmos, it's what brings everyone to the game, and they know that, that's why they did the "invite a friend" thing during the time of a world changing event.

Monthly events are good and they should keep it up, but if it's events which are bringing people to the game, and keeping people on the game, they should do it on a smaller scale (which don't add new content to the game etc but are bigger than dynamic events), more often and do the large events more spaced out.

If I didn't know anything about gw2 just the fact that there is no subscription fee would make me think it's probably P2W and I would check out forums and consumer reviews.

Maybe things are better in australia but I don't know anyone that would throw down 60$ on a game they know nothing about.
A good quality game with no subscription fee counts for a lot in today's day and age. People like me who can't afford a sub can still have a great time discovering. And to tell you the truth, I don't think a lot of gamers care about the politics of it all. The game got 93% in PC Gamer in the U.K. That will count for more than people on fansites saying how they feel they have been hard done by because the company slightly changed direction on philosophy and added something that said people can easily ignore and has no real effect on the outcome of the game at all.

I absolutely agree. Unfortunately the only way to know if a game is good quality or if it's just another crap P2W is by either playing it or researching the hell out of it.

They screwed up the free trial weekend by trying to add a huge new patch and event at the same time, leaving a lot of people with a very terrible impression of the game. When they go to do research they will see a huge shift in feedback from fans even on PC Gamer (atleast the US version where they have an article about the added gear grind).

It doesn't matter if you like the gear grind or don't care about it. This was a terrible move from a PR standpoint, especially the way the news was released, and it will end up hurting the game if they don't do something soon.

I just wishfully hope they get a good designer.Based purely on aesthetics the armor in this game is pretty rubbish, especially in comparison to GW1.I have have really low end gear but I am grateful for transmutation as it allows me to stick with early game skins, which imho are vastly more aesthetically pleasing than any dungeon or late-game gear.

I've seen similar opinions on this and other forums be voiced and I freely admit I think the armor design in GW2, for high-end...is sub par. Personally I have no motivation to attain any of it, yet in GW1 Vabbian took me a long time to get....because it looked awesome.
