Anyone playing PlanetSide 2 and it actually works for them?

So, I'm a fan of FPS games so I thought I'd check out the new MMO-FPS PlanetSide 2 which was released yesterday.

However, while I'm well above even the recommended system specs, this game doesn't run too well for me. I get a lot of rubberbanding. Textures disappear altogether, people get portet 50 meters to and fro everytime. All in all a terrible gaming experience. Have already set the graphics to minimum but that didn't help at all.

So, my question is: Is anybody actually able to play that game?

My PC can't handle the game either but some members of Unlimited are playing and enjoying it. I plan to give it a test drive once I piece together a new desktop.

I play on high settings with the rig posted below. That is, all settings are high save for the shadows. I average around 30-40 FPS in big fights, sometimes even higher / lower, and I'm able to reach 60-80 in not-so-dangerous-areas.

Despite some major improvements since Alpha, Planetside 2 is still poor in regards to optimization. Only about 50-60% of people's GPUs are actually being utilized, where as in most 2012 games we're talking 100% utilization.

Game's fun as crap when things are steady, and lone-wolfing is extraordinarily satisfying (I'm talking rolling Infiltrator, sneaking into an enemy's populated base, and taking out everyone trying to snipe up top/using the vehicle and class terminals/hack their turrets/spawn camp). Last night I got about 10-12 kills before dying.
