4 Friends Seeking Friendly RP Guild To Call Home

Myself and three friends who are also housemates, are looking for a fun newbie friendly, preferably smallish (We don't want to get lost in the rank and file of a huge guild.) and active guild on the Tarnished Coast server. We have had GW2 since launched but only recently picked it up and really started playing, all of use are friendly, mature, and experienced RPers just looking for a home.

Guild Philosophy

The Order of the Silver Dragons (OSD) are a long-standing multi-wing gaming community that was founded in 2006, and exists well beyond any one game, being involved in many gaming environments.

What makes the OSD unique is their ongoing commitment to mature interactions, their proud display of civility and concern, their desire for adventure and their healthy placement of value on individual effort and communications. They are known across many gaming servers for taking the high road when situations arise, and they pride themselves in the knowledge that they will always strive to help others. Their continued success stems directly from the OSD officers of this community whom take it upon themselves to uphold these virtues, reminiscent of the fabled Knights of the Round Table, which in turn are mimicked by the community of players within the guild. The source of the success of the officers derives from the wisdom of their community leaders, who have been instrumental in the formation of such a strong community.

The OSD consistently leverage their community talents and imaginations to enhance the gaming experience. Definitely not a hard-core guild, their maturity level allows absolute respect for the various playing styles of the community, however they absolutely still engage in competitive play! Recruitment is an on-going active event between their current members, the leadership and the person who wants to join the OSD. The online forums symbolize the key to this success, being the heart and blood of this organization.

What We Offer

• A commercial-grade forum that is very active. Our members actively talk within the various gaming communities, as well as discussions of both present and future games for the PC, Xbox360, PS3, etc. There are also forums for general chatter regarding technical issues, books, movies, music reviews... pretty much anything that comes to mind.
• A commercial Vent server that can be used for raids, groups, pick-up groups... or just to hang out for relaxation with your fellow friends and colleagues.
• A full calendar system with a robust event scheduling system, and an RSVP mechanism (allowing yes, no or maybe to events).
• Support and resources inside of the gaming divisions. Our members are never left out in the cold. We take pride in helping our members out with whatever they need across our various gaming divisions.
• Security in Numbers. Our members are devoted to working together which allows you to quest and adventure in the world with security and peace of mind.
• Information and Mentors. We have explicit resources to help people learn the specific game and become more skilled, and many of our members are highly-skilled at the top of their class just waiting to pass on their knowledge to others.
• Frequently scheduled events.Members in our division will consistently schedule Dynamic events, WvWvW, Dungeons and PvP patrols, as well as PvE and RP events.

My wife and I run a small roleplaying guild on Ehmry Bay. Doesn't meet one of your req's but here's my idea for you. If you'd like to get to know us we could play together across server for a while. It's easy to group with people from other servers, I even did fractals with someone last night. Also, I think you're allowed to change servers once per week so if your friends/roomies are all in agreement you could hop over to our server.

A bit about our guild (sorry we don't have a fancy cut-and-paste for you)...

We have 25 members, currently I'd say 15 are active. We'd like to get the number up to 40. I don't like the idea of large guilds because people tend to get lost in them. We're friendly and keep chat pretty clean. Some words like 'damn' and 'bastard' are thrown around but we try to keep out anything offensive. We enjoy roleplaying, WvW, and doing everything we can together. We're struggling a little with fractals at the moment but dungeons are going well and we'll only get better. Lastly, we're helpful, we have a large guild bank (100 slots), and we have some talented crafters in the guild.
